I'm fully expecting the win against Peru at home after 2 failed attempts.

I dont understand why they stick with Konna he plays for FC Tokyo a J2 team, hes old and to me just isnt that great. Tanaka and Nakazawa are rocks at CB, Yoshida seems to be the future at one spot. We need another replacement I just dont see it being Konno. Plus...he looks like Anpanman.

A CB needs to be IMO at least 6 feet tall and have grit. Im interested to see who will step up for the last spot. Makino, Inoha, and Kurihara...

I also heard Zac might implement a 3-4-3, which is risky. Nagatomo and Ucida will be blistering down the sidelines leaving...Yoshida to defend? Hasebe will get back but another solid defensive minded MF is needed maybe even 2 after Hasebe to make up for only 3 defenders. Endo I suppose...hes a distributor but not as fast as he used to be, Hosogai? Who im not too familiar with, or maybe even Yasuda who is a side back but could be used in a defensive midfield position.

The last time the two teams played was 2007 in March.

    Japan won 2-0.

Maybe he was referring to when the two teams played at Kirin Cup:
    0-0 in 1999 and 0-1 in 2005

That 2-0 victory in 2007 was the first time ever japan beat Peru.

Overall head to head results stands for:
3 wins for Peru, 2 draws and 1 win for Japan

    Sekiguchi---Maeda---Okazaki
    Yasuda---Endo---Hasebe---Nishi
    Konno---Kurihara---Inoha
    Kawashima

this team will probably struggle a LOT at the defensive set pieces.

Re: Official 2011 Japanese NT Thread [R]

Both decisions are good ones imo. Kurihara is definitely better than Makino at the moment.

Zac has stated that Usami is not there on ability yet. He just wanted to see him, but said Usami's performances are not of JNT standard yet.
    =====
On Uchida's omission I think its clear Zac is giving some people a chance tonight. Pity I was hoping to have Ucchi vs Farfan.

Zac said that this will be a team for the future, I see no future with Maeda, Kurihara and Koroki to be honest.
If Usami is not there on ability, who is? Koroki, Maeda, Kurihara? Gosh...

It feels like every time we attack only 3-4 guys are going.

    Very solid defensively though.

Is it raining there, or is the track just wet from an earlier shower?
