The ref and I have a different interpretation of the rules..... I thought a team was only allowed one GK on the field
You're right guys. He knew it will hit his hand but felt so confident that not even tried to avoid it.
Ref clearly pro-Korea, but that should be expected, I am afraid. I wish for these games they'd call European referees, anyway. Well, at least we did not get that 2002 guy from Ecuador that now is in jail for smuggling cocaine...
Korea did good in the early minutes of both halves, more thanks to their amazing energy than to pure skill. But Japan had the best plays, chances, and a HUGE penalty denied. We owned the midfield, at present we have A LOT players who are too good at covering, defending the ball and passing. Morally a victory (especially if you think of the 0-2 before the WC...) and that is probably why you could hear only the Japanese fans chanting in the last minutes. Best for Japan: Honda and Nagatomo, also nice job by Nishizawa. Two games without the starting CBs, and zero goal conceded... The Italian hand is clearly visible GOOD GAME!!
Hahaha, Zac not telling what he really thinks about tactics, I know!! He said "we must believe more in ourselves" The guy who translates is GOOD!
yeah wow that was the Uzbek guy from the FWC? What an absolute clown. His highlights there were so many to choose from but here goes: • Hasebe dribbling into the box, the ball getting cleared........Korea free • Endo going up for a header marginally in the attacking half at the start, which the Korean headed out.......nobody even asked for it but apparently it was a Korea free and ofcourse: • PENALTY HANDBALL......no dice. What bothered me about Japan's play tonight though was that the fire really only got lit late on with about 20 minutes to go... Before that Japan were cool and collected but not really playing with a lot of urgency. Nishikawa looked like a bit of a duffer but it didn't cost us.
Strange, I think Nagatomo was poor tonight, kind of reckless when coming forward or clearing the ball. Agree on Honda, if he could score or unselfish enough to have an assist, he could easily have 9-10. This game proved his value as a star in big games, very calm even the Koreans out-muscled his teammates, he managed to keep the ball and coming forward very well I want to mention Maeda, his movement and holding game was very good, in 2 situations if Matsui let the ball go, Maeda could have a chance. And Hasebe, a true captain, I love you
Nice game again. No complains at all. I'm only worried about Kagawa. And Honda should score sometimes because he won't pass the ball to anyone without that.
Got to agree, he was a gun tonight (imho). I agree in previous post, he doesn't really get the credit he deserves.
Well, the ref ruined it for me. But then again, we had some luck with 2 Korean chances. I thought Nishikawa was solid as a goalie but I thought he wasn't very good as a playing goalkeeper. It felt we lost possession with every goalkick...
