Injuries: FC Zurich will be without Silvan Aegerter for 4 weeks. Ludovic Magnin is doubtful for this weekends match against AC Bellinzone due to an injury picked up against FC Aarau. Davide Chiumiento is leaving. He has rejected a contract extension at FC Luzern. He wants to hook onto a foreign team. At 25 years old, this seems to be the time to do it. That does leave a huge hole for FC Luzern to fill this summer. Suspensions: Koubsky (Saint-Gall) Red Card - 1 match Bastida (Aarau) 4th Yellow - 1 Match Barmettler, Okonkwo, Rochat (Zurich) 4th Yellow for all - 1 Match Hochstrasser (Young Boys) 8th Yellow - 1 Match
I'm definitely rooting for FCZ for third place simply cause they can do way more damage in Europe than GC. Lucerne would've been nice with their packed arena and the new stadium coming up, but right now they don't have the experience nor the financial clout to pull something good off, same goes for St Gallen. I can see a bright future for those two clubs though.
With Chiumiento opting out of FC Luzern's future I think that they will drop off next season. It would be nice to see LS and Servette back in the ASL mix. I know we have discussed this before, but those are two of the historically big clubs in the nation. They both need to get their act together, get promoted and contend for Europe each season.
Considering Luzern got the new arena coming upia year I think they'll be back on track pretty quick, but it's hard to say, especially when you look at what happened to Xamax and Sankt Gallen. Yes we, and the Romandie definitely need LS and Servette back for keeps. Hopefully we'll see a development where only clubs with the best infrastructure and biggest fan-bases (except for GC) competing in the ASL.
Although I like seeing Aarau and Vaduz up from time to time, with a 10 team league it gets hard to have small clubs in the ASL. I was in favor of moving to 12 or 14 teams. That would allow for the small teams, Yverdon et al a chance to play, but also allow the largest teams to have an impact on a year to year basis.
Serey Die (Sion) has been given a 2 match suspension for his actions in yesterdays match against GCZ. Martin Brunner (46) resigned at GK coach for FCZ.
..and after a really "quiet" season so far, CC lashes out big-time. Reports of Serey Die getting a 100k Sfr fine and CC bashing the team in words that even for him sounds rough.

It seems cc might have acted appropriate. Serey Die under suspicion for match-fixing! And his rant definitely paid off as sion crushed luzern 5-2. It seems The fans also took his "The fans should take a mountain-Walk rather than watch this sh.."-line to heart as only 7800 showed up
