Danny Jackson is in studio this week on the Seattle Soccer Show and talks about the challenges faced by the squad and the state of the team heading into the playoffs. Listen Now.
I have a question did theUSL Seattle Sounders owned their names trade mark and sold it to the MLS Sounders?
IIRC, the TM had expired. But, even if it hadn't, I don't think it would matter, considering Hanauer is part of the new ownership group. So, he'd end up selling he name rights to himself?

A complete and utter disgrace. I am no angel, but this reaction goes beyond the line and Montreal Impact should be ashamed of their head coach. http://goalseattle2.blogspot.com/2008/09/sounders-take-first-leg-2-1-as-emotions.html Montreal head coach John Limniatis unbelievably came out into the stands after the match with his jacket removed. Later he spotted some fans, including myself, who he had heard / seen heckling him briefly during the match (I had called him 'Luney.') He bumped chests, spewed vulgarities, and became incredibly and quite unprofessionally 'unhinged.' As we tried to make our way past and to the cars, a Sounders rep held him back. Curious onlookers stood in disbelief as Montreal players then came down from the showers to see what was happening. The players then also began taunting fans and hurling insults. GOALSeattle photographer Jenni Conner caught some photos of the incident.
dont forget about the entire gjertsen family was it just me, or was limmy get off the bench and into schmetz's face around the 35th minute? something was going on around the benches but i couldnt quite see from where i was
Not sure, but that may have been when GS was behind the MTL bench, taking a picture of Joey, whom I must say was a 1000% more professional than his coach, several of his team mates, and most definitely the rest of his family.
For 'legal reasons' our board thread on this topic has been edited. Names of fans or player relatives involved can not be confirmed or are in doubt. The fight occurred, but the people involved are not confirmed. The Montreal coach story, with photos, remains. I was not behind the bench until very briefly after the second half kick off.
BC Bud... puff puff I'm not at all surprised about Montreal's coach. Last time they were here, he was constantly yelling or getting in someone's face the entire game. Then he and Leighton got into it because Leighton was busy taking his cast off his arm, and the coach thought he didn't come to shake his hand fast enough for his tastes. But overall, Montreal away have some interesting history. Players and coaches routinely flipped us off coming on and off the pitch, and the ENTIRE team went and flipped off the TA in PDX a couple years back... lingering a long time IIRC.
