He only said that because Bohs are known as the BIG CLUB and he supports a club with no home.

Big club?:D:D Laughable rubbish from the minnows.

We are moving into a new stadium for next season. We havent had a ground since 1987 because our previous owner sold it back then.

On your new ground how come your board wont issue any details on any signed contracts for your new stadium? My earlier point stands. Building a ground out in the middle of nowhere will not increase your support no matter how much money you might earn from the move.

If you have been in Galway's new stand you would know that it is the best one in the league.

A bad result for GU last weekend but a much needed win for Rovers. Rovers released Alan Murphy and GU are rumored to be releasing7to8 players.

We've had a fan banned for life for racial abuse (of our own player). Any other club ban fans for this?

Rovers drew Cork City in the fourth round of the FAI cup come on rovers. I need to get this off my chest. Cork City took Dave Mooney from Longford Town but we chose to take Dessie Baker from Longford. Is there any question who chose more wisely?

None but we cant compete with Cork on wages. Mooney is on €500 a goal. Hopefully some day he'll come back to the club he supports.

    Drogheda United 0 - 1 Cork City

Cork City recorded their sixth league win in a row this afternoon after an important 1-0 win away to Drogheda United. The win now sees City just two points behind leaders St. Patrick's Athletic, with the Inchicore outfit travelling to Turner's Cross next Sunday in a top of the table clash.

Alan Mathews was forced to make one change to last Thursday night's team that drew with FC Haka. Joe Gamble served his one-game ban, which allowed Cillian Lordan to partner fellow Ballincollig native Colin Healy in midfield.

City dominated the opening exchanges of the game and the majority was played inside Drogheda's half. Darren Murphy came close with a header five minutes in when he got on the end of Danny Murphy cross but couldn't keep his effort down. Midway through the first half Dave Mooney found himself in excellent position to score when Murphy's pass found the City number 39, but he miscontrolled it and the danger was cleared.

Thirty minutes in, Denis Behan had a strike on the edge of the box destined for the back of the net, but it was blocked. Eamonn Zayed almost had a clear sight of goal just before the break as he broke through ono goal but Michael Devine was alert, and gathered at the feet of Zayed.

Ollie Cahill had a free header from Stuart Byrne's cross moments after the restart but it flew over the bar. City took advantage of the missed opportunity, and capitalised from the penalty spot. Mooney was bundled over in the box by Byrne, and he himself stepped up the take the spot kick, sending Dan Connor the wrong way.

The home side took control of the game in terms of possession after the goal was scored, but failed to threaten Devine's goal. City used the counter-attack to their advantage, and Behan could have made it two nil. Danny Murphy once again supplied the cross, but Behan struggled to get his shot away at the back post as the chance was wasted.

City sat back and soaked up Drogheda's pressure, United again failing to have any clear cut chances on goal. Declan O'Brien did have a header that was well wide, and deep into injury time Byrne had a long range shot well over the bar.

    Hey all...a few questions.

How are the wages in the league? What about fan support / attendance? Are the matches broadcasted on Setanta?

I'm from Waterford, but living in New Jersey now...want to know if I can get into supporting the league...

Wages too high and attendances too low. If more people got off their barstools and supported their own clubs rather than british ones we would be in a lot healthier state.

All games that are live here are streamed on the internet. For all league info go to www.loi.ie

Hope the Blues win the first division.

As far as matches on Setanta the answer is no. You can contact them through e-mail but I doubt they will pick up the league. It would be awesome though. Aug. 9th the friedly match between Shamrock Rovers and Sunderland will be broadcast live.
