We make statues like positively mobile when we are in front of goal. Our off the ball movement is simply nonexistent.
Commentators seem to be questioning if it was onside. It looked pretty clear to me that Cahill was playing him onside by quite a bit
It's clear why our forward players struggle so much every week: they train against our back 4 in the week and can't deal with the increase in quality that teams like AFC Bournemouth put out there
In context, probably our worst result of the season. and Jose's not winning himself much sympathy with his team selection.
Cahill and who else though? Keeper was well forward so he doesn't count as the second man (which we usually forget in the rule). Not blaming that though, Bournemouth deserved their win. We are gutless with the ball, can't take anyone on, can't tackle and can't pass.
Nothing like hosting an MLS Cup in your own building. Have fun with it - jealous you've got that to take your mind off the utter shite we just watched
I have no idea what it will take for Fabregas to be dropped. Or what it would take for José to try Oscar in the pivot. This team is dire. Zero ideas out there, no flow to our play, and no real chances get created. José should be glad Klopp took the Liverpool job or he'd be getting his P-45 right now. Unfortunately this team needs an entire new spine but I can't imagine the type of players we need will be interested in coming.
Never mind, I think I misinterpreted what they were saying. I thought they were saying that Baba was behind him and no one else, which is why I said that Cahill was there to put him onside, but in the post-match they said that Cahill was behind him but Baba might not have been holding him onside as the second guy. ^If that paragraph doesn't make sense, what I'm trying to say is I should've listened better to the commentators
One step forward and two back, this was quite possibly the second worst display of the season? (Southampton at home was the worst performance I've witnessed since the 1980's), the fact is Bournemouth ran themselves into the ground until they were dropping like flies with cramp and Chelsea simply did not. I have a feeling if we are knocked out of the Champions league in midweek it will be the end of Mr Mourinho, if that is the case its only the FA Cup left and perhaps we could try at that with a new manager?
Really thought the team might pull together and make a run in December and perhaps capitalize on the busy schedule to climb the table. It was wishful thinking but this was a pretty big blow really. Awful stuff.
