    AFC Bournemouth v. Chelsea FC
    Saturday, December 5, 2015
    Stamford Bridge, London, UK
    TV (US): NBC Network
    Time: 12:30pm EST

    Table and League Form
    14. Chelsea FC (WLLLWD)
    .
    18. AFC Bournemouth (LLLLDD)

    Injuries and Suspensions
Cherries: OUT: Arter, Federici, Boruc, Atsu, Callum Wilson, Elphick, Mings, Gradel; POSSIBLE: Tomlin, Pugh
Chelsea: UNLIKELY: Courtois, Terry, Ramires, Falcao

    Notable
-Holy crap, that's a lot of injuries for Bournemouth
-Chelsea have had three clean sheets in past three matches (all comps)
-Chelsea have only met Bournemouth 5 times, spanning 1988-1994, accumulating a record of 4W - 1L
-Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 43 home league matches against newly-promoted teams (W37 D6)
-AFC Bournemouth have conceded 18 goals away from home this season, a joint-high in the BPL with Newcastle United and Sunderland
-John Terry is one win away from 300 PL wins (Lamps has 349)

Liklihood of Jose Mourinho blaming the referee for Chelsea's performance
    Moderate

    Liklihood of Costa playing
After bibgate, it's really hard to tell how this will go. Jose says everything is fine, but I've seen Jose shut out players for much less. This took place during a London derby where we kept a clean sheet and got a valuable point. Costa is acting like a child. On top of that, we looked decent against a surging team away from home. Gut feeling, though, I think Costa starts as Jose will want him to get going again against a depleted defense.

    Will Fabregas start?
F*ck this guy already. I mean, seriously, do something.

    Beer pairing
Since we're playing the Cherries, why not go outside your comfort zone and try some cherry brews. If you're lucky enough to live in the US, where the best beer in the world is made, you'll find all sorts of great choices. (If you don't live in the US, please post some of your favorite cherry beers!)

At the basal level, you've got yourself Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, which you can pick up at your local Wal Mart. Like most things available at Wal Mart (which is where I assume Chelsea picked up Papy Djilobodji) it's not very memorable.

One of my favorite breweries, Central Waters, are experts in flavored beers and ales. Their Bourbon Barrel Cherry Stout is no exception. Tart, but full of stoutiness. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/652/35984/

Deep down in the heart of Texas (Dallas), Deep Ellum makes a delicious cherry stout, too. This one is a double/brown varietal, though. Extra yum.

If you live in the NY area, the Chocolate Cherry Bomb is an imperial stout that tastes just as good as it sounds. From Ellicottville Brewing just south of Buffalo.

There are hundreds of varieties out there and if you're lucky enough to live near one, or several. breweries most make seasonal stuff that's on draft only. I've also been getting into sours/gose lately. This one looks unbelievable from Wicked Weed Brewing in Asheville, North Carolina: Black Angel Cherry Sour.

Enjoy the match - and drink every time we hit the post, throw a bib, or hold up our own counter attack. You'll be drunk by the 15th minute!

strong work with the beer section. i'm particularly a fan of the fact that it's longer than the rest of the post. nice to see deep ellum showing up on peoples radars. (used to live in dallas).

i think there is really no way we lose this. just about anything the team tries right now should work against a depleted opposition.

hopefully the game goes the same way :D.

Given we have some Bay Area folks I would also add to the beer list the Mikkeller Spontansourcherry.

You can find this at the Mikkeller Bar at 34 Mason St, SF. Good food there and if you love sours they have a Sour Cellar downstairs where they only serve sours (bottles and taps).

As for the match, if we don't get 3 points everyone involved really should resign.

I've had one Mikkeller before (which is in Denmark) and it was funky. Would love to try this thing. Lots of farmhouse, sessions, wheats, sours, etc. They do a lot of collaborations.

Really? As early as January? I'm not so sure. I do think a lot of teams will turn his head, though. Plenty of squads ready to make him the center of their project.

Rumour is he wants more playing time or he himself will be asking for the loan. The kid wants and deserves to play so I can understand his frustration especially given that Jose keeps playing Cesc game after game, month after month of lackluster performances.

Courtois is selected for the match this weekend.

Begovic has been fantastic for us and a key reason why we're in 14th and not 19th. Sad, but true. Our defense has been terrible and Begsy has saved us plenty. Best signing of the season.

If neither of your central midfielders can pass or tackle, you've got a problem.

Pedro has done as much good as bad. i really think we need a striker on the pitch if we're going to keep putting in these high crosses.

Not sure what the point of putting Costa on if he will more than likely be faffing about on the left wing.........nvm he is on.
