That's highly debatable. In my case, I have always thought that Castillo was better playing with grown ups (at the only moment they were about at the same level is when they were part of the under 17, and early years at under 20 national team, but once at the under 20 youth WC in Turkey (where Castillo scored twice the amount of goals that Henriquez scored there), and at older player levels, Castillo had a greater performance than him (he started getting called to the overall National team (under Borghi, and afterwards by Sampaoli, having his official 1st game almost 1 year later), almost 6 months before Henriques got his first call (under Sampaoli, whom made him play right away). Curiously, Henriquez played his 1st game (a friendly vs. Serbia), first, although it was Castillo whom played for a WC qualifier game, first (vs.Peru at Lima). When Angelo appeared (being very young), he was very promising (more than Castillo), and almost instantly he went to Europe so he never had much time showing himself as a regular starter in his chilean team, while in the case of Castillo, his appearance right away meant him a place among catolica's starters. When both were playing in Europe, both had a very similar performance being there (being Castillo whom made himself a more known name, first, despite arriving at Europe, almost 2 years later than Henriquez). I believe, that in your case, you believe Henríquez was better, mainly because of your bias towards your team, than any other thing. In my case, I feel about the same thing on regards to both of the teams they both come from, without feeling any bias for any of them (over their teams in Chile, that is).
Of course, its my opinion just like you stated your opinion. Well, you're wrong, nothing to do with team biased. Castillo's biggest strength was his physique, which, at a youth level, helped him out a lot. Now that advantage has diminished. Angelo is also faster, better positioned, and has a much much better definition.
That's very hard to believe if he doesn't score much at all (this last year he has scored only one goal), while at the same time, Castillo has scored lots of goals (it's not for nothing he is currently among top scorers in Chile). And btw, total goals scored aren't opinions. They are proven facts. (Also one of the reasons, why Castillo gets called more often than Henriquez, to the NT, by all the 3 last coaches we've had) Fact is, that in all his years in Europe, Henriquez has only had one very good season, his first season in Croatia (and the whole rest of the time, he hasn't done almost anything, except getting paid big money for nothing).
Castillo is doing something now, cause he is in Chile. And number of goals, of course it's a fact, but I've seen games from both and when 1 vs 1 Angelo is better.
And @MetroChile, will only post his useless whining and complaints over what others have posted, without adding anything for, or anything against it, of what's being discussed by the rest.
Now now, settle down you two He has his opinion on who is better, I have mine. All good. Now, I do want him to come back to U de Chile and do a Castillo 2.0 in terms of late performances.
Announcement https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016–17_UEFA_Champions_League_group_stage#Juventus_v_Dinamo_Zagreb http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2017/matches/round=2000783/match=2019377/index.html Junior Fernandes and Angelo Henriquez will probably play in Torino. The last match in the Champions League, without goals or victories for Dinamo.
Gary Medel sigue lesionado. El Internazionale le ganó 2:1 al Sparta Praha.
Croatian league is really weak. They have 2 stronger clubs, Rijeka, Dinamo Zagreb. Dinamo ended with 0 points, 0 goals in the Champions League. Hajduk Split is mostly third. Croats usually don't follow the national league. According to the statistics, Croatian league is between Austrian and Greek. http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/country/ I doubt that Dinamo can win against Olympiakos. Croatian league gets a lot of points, just because Dinamo plays in the Champions League more often than Austrian clubs. Dinamo won against Salzburg Red Bull in the qualifications for the Champions League. This ranking is not so relevant. Danish league is under Croatian, but Kopenhagen plays often in the knock out stages. Romanian league is weak at the moment, same as Belarus, Sweden, Poland, Scotland... The Netherlands is the last league with quality.
Liga de Campeones: Bayern München de Arturo Vidal vs Arsenal de Alexis Sánchez (15 de febrero) Bayer Leverkusen de Charles Aránguiz vs Atlético de Madrid (21 de febrero) Manchester City de Claudio Bravo vs Monaco (21 de febrero) Liga Europa: Real Celta de Marcelo Díaz, Pedro P. Hernández y Fabián Orellana vs Shakhtar Donetsk (16 de febrero)
Nice goal by Junior. Reading the discussion on top of the page, I also initially thought that Angelo would be better than Castillo, but he has not done anything in a long time. Castillo has been improving steadily while Angelo seems to be regressing. Maybe it is my uninformed opinion of Angelo, because I have not seen him play in a long time. Any new information on Angelo?
Just watched the last 14 minutes of the game with Angelo on the field. He didn't do much. Not really involved. Junior was much more involved and dangerous. Hopefully, Angelo will find his form soon.
If one player wants to be in Chilean national team, for sure he needs to play in top 5,6 European leagues...or maybe in top Chilean, Brazilian, Argentinian, Mexican clubs. Everything else, moves players outside of the picture. Croatian league is 17th European league. https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2016.html Clubs from Turkey, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Greece, Austria were once behind. Nice light is the victory of Croatian club Osijek against PSV Eindhoven, 0-1 in Eindhoven. Angelo Henriquez is forgotten. It seems that he never adapted. Junior and Angelo are different types, Junior asks the ball, wants to play, even attractive moves are his desire, he scores often. We could expect Junior in better league-club, year or two.
