I paid like 35-40 to see them at Toyota Park last summer, though lower bowl endline seats were 20. However, I anticipate that these post-world cup games are going to be similarly high.
Depends on what game he gets capped. Olympic qualifying might though I doubt he would be released for that.
Mind you, my Dynamo were down to 10 men within 6' and had a nightmare, but I was impressed with Hyndman and Miles Robinson on Atlanta.
I'd rather cap Robinson and go in the direction of people playing defense. instead of starting mids as defenders and defenders for attacking, start defenders who defend and free up the mids to be attackers.
I would not have scheduled Mexico again so soon for a time when I wouldn’t call in a lot of our A players... Players I’d omit: GK Steffen FB Dest, Chandler, Ream, Lovitz, Gloster, Gutman, A. Hell no. It's just that I have lost most of all my faith in Egg selecting the type of players that excite me as a fan. I would also add Morris and Trapp to your list.
I think it depends on what level and what kind of match. Anything U20 and below doesn't permanently tie you to one country and friendlies even as an adult don't tie you. I think playing in an official U23 or full match means you are tied to that country for life.
Incorrect. Tony Taylor participated in a qualifier for The London Olympics for The US, yet was still able to file a switch to Panama. Only non friendlies at the senior level cap tie someone
Not true. Official youth games can cap tie you because you can only make the one time switch if you have the nationality of that country when you play that official game.
You could only make a switch if you have that nationality and are eligible at that time which not many people have.
Just because it’s rarer doesn’t change a thing. Their not cap tied. Until you have no options to move.
Ask Ruben Sambueza, Rogelio Funes Mori or Diego Fagundez what option they have. The statement "ONLY non friendlies at the senior level cap tie someone" is not true.
That is not how it is used though. Was Josh Sargent, "cap tied" when he was born in St. Louis? I guess, but we don't talk about single nationals as being cap tied by a cap. We only use the phrase in relation to dual nationals who are dual nationals at the time. A dual national can be provisionally cap tied by a youth tournament. But they can't be "cap tied", i.e. permanently cap tied. You cannot make any kind of switch once you have played official FIFA competitive games at the senior level.
Ask Jermaine Jones about it. If you can still file a 1 time switch you’re not cap tied. End of story.
Well being born in St Louis didn't cap tie him because had he not played for the NT, he could still play for any NT provided he meet the FIFA requirements. And if he didn't have any nationality, it would be official youth tournaments that cap tied him to the US. Regardless it still makes this: Not a true statement. Jermaine Jones doesn't change that fact that all those 3 players were cap tied by Youth tournaments and that the statement "Only non friendlies at the senior level cap tie someone" is WRONG.
Those players weren’t duel nationals. They gained citizenship later in life but already featured for National team programs. This isn’t club you don’t get to pick a nationality and play. They may have gained citizenship at a later point but there has to be regulation so countries don’t just buy and keep top young players and build a program that way. If they were duel nationals it wouldn’t be a thing.
We're splitting hairs here. A poster thought Olympic qualifiers capped someone for life, he was incorrect. I pointed out that only senior team matches that aren't friendlies do that. I did leave off the preliminary cap tied part of the rule, because we were talking about Sergino Dest. He's already been preliminary tied, so whether he gets an Olympic callup or not isn't relevant.
