I'll have to see what I can get out of them for my retroactive caps considering I only signed up last month. (digs thru facebook to find old pictures of me and Jimmy Conrad at Crew stadium...)
i hear ya, but know the reconciliation process (if done) probably won't take place for another year when the portal gets back up and running. So not much can be done at the moment.
Not whining, just wondering - Did they ever offer some sort of price protection for members on tickets? Feel like that used to be the case, but I may be wrong. I bought tickets to the Brazil game during the presale for members (because I am a blind consumer... I mean supporter). They have since lowered the price on all tickets. I emailed asking about this and the response was basically "Sorry."
They used to offer a price guarantee. If the price went down, US Soccer would refund the difference. I used it once. I think they eliminated the perk because I can't find it anywhere on the membership website. It has happened twice this year for matches at Levi's Stadium. The early bird.......
That answers it. I thought I remembered it being advertised as a perk of paying for a membership, but they seem to have done away with it. Bummer.
Ok, so another "new at this" question. If I want to buy my first ticket as a member, how do I get is registered as a "cap"?
If you are a member, you can buy tix thru their sales process, presale, their code they give u, etc. Thats is a for sure cap they would capture. If you buy it thru other official channels (AO, Sammers, normal Ticketmaster) the thought is they would connect the email addresses. Its a bit messy if, lets say, a buddy buys a ticket for u. Not sure how that all gets connected to be honest.
As of last qualifying all scammers and ao tickets had to go via Us soccer Ticketmaster. One of the reasons that ao was so mad was basically us soccer wanted their sales data. They refused so they made everybody buy through their portal. I haven’t bought tickets to any friendliest this year so don’t know if it’s chsnged
We are looking at 2019 for the portal. I know....i know... very frustrating. Fan Council has another meeting in October and we will get more info on the timing......hopefully.
Got another survey e-mail, kind of like they did at the end of last year. Pasted it below here in case anyone didn't and is curious. The questions give some insight as to what they might be looking towards for improvements. Here's hoping something comes to fruition. "U.S. Soccer is studying its Membership program and how it can be enhanced to serve more fans. To do so, we've put together a questionnaire at the link below that will gather feedback from fans like you on potential Membership benefits, pricing, and your overall relationship with soccer. This topic is important to us and we have a lot of questions! This survey will take you about 10 minutes. But as a U.S. Soccer Member, your voice carries weight. We're eager to hear what you think and excited to create programs that matter to you! CLICK HERE FOR MEMBERSHIP SURVEY Thank you. U.S. Soccer"
I clicked through to the survey immediately upon receiving the email. It disqualified me at the first question: Age? I guess US Soccer isn't interested in the opinions of its grizzled supporters.
Anyone tried renewing lately? Looks like membership purchases got booted from the US Soccer Store with the recent renovation. I think I'm due up in mid-January but once again I want to confirm that they're going to link my new annual membership with my existing one if I purchase at https://membership.ussoccer.com/purchase-us-soccer-membership/us-soccer-membership using my membership email [since there's still no portal]. I sent an email but expect I'll have to call, and won't get anyone to pick up until the new year.
Heading to Fan Council meeting at AGM this weekend. Any USSoccer Membership questions you guys want answered?
Hey, those ticket proceeds are vitally important in the effort to develop players and build a men's national team that can make it through what's sure to be an absolutely grueling qualifying process for the 2026 World Cup.
An e-mail I received from U.S. Soccer Fan Services yesterday promises "An Exclusive Limited Time U.S. Soccer Member Only Benefit" to arrive via e-mail today. I don't even have a guess as to what it could be, but I'm mildly curious.
My guess is that it will be a discount for the new WNT jersey announced today here: https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2019/03/11/15/02/20190311-wnt-usa-world-cup-jersey-kit-launch However, I am hoping for some free awesome benefit. Maybe a membership portal. PS. I am right. The email came as I am writing this comment. Actually, not quite right. No discount, just a pre-sale for the jersey.
