Further suggestions for a Dutch "no caps" team: Kees Bregman (libero of Duisburg in the 1970s). Jan-Nico Hoogma (centre back for Hamburg around 2000), Dick van Burik (Hertha BSC 90s/00s) and Alfred Nijhuis (stopper for Duisburg in the 1990s).
Nürnberg All-Time IX (using WW-system because the club's heyday was the 1920s): ----11 Hans SUTOR-------------9 Heinz STREHL-----------7 Zvezdan CEBINAC -----------------------10 Heiner TRÄG---------8 Max MORLOCK ---------3 Stefan REISCH---------5 Hans KALB-----------2 Hans SCHMIDT ----------------------4 Ludwig MÜLLER-----------6 Ferdinand WENAUER ----------------------------------1 Heiner STUHLFAUTH
Id prefer Jan v Halst over Boateng because of his passing. Musampa is a nice suggestion. He played 3 (left back) in the great match against Madrid, if I recall correctly. But it would feel like playing him out of position. van Lent never played in that Latin Cup final. Also some of his goals came from penalties. He was included because he apparently formed a good offensive partnership with Julien Stopyra. https://www.sitercl.com/Fichejo/V/vanlentw.htm
Stay home XI (433) 1 Edwin vd Sar 2 Dan Petrescu 3 Sylvinho 4 Sami Hyypia 5 Jaap Stam 6 Michael Essien 7 Luis Suárez 8 Kevin de Bruyne 9 Sergio Agüero 10 Dennis Bergkamp 11 Gianfranco Zola

Absolutely. I picked Ailton because he was crucial in Bremen's 2004 championship and also became Germany's first ever non-German footballer of the year. But that aside, Pizarro was a better player definitely.
Hmmm I would have thought Nico Jan Hoogma. Based on that he climbed to team captain status for a higher status team (HSV was 3rd and 4th in the league in his individual best seasons), and also a higher 'best ranking' in kicker and included more often in their lists. Maybe also swayed by what Hoogma did at the Eredivisie; see now that Nijhuis became only pro at the age of 25! https://www.11freunde.de/interview/der-spaetstarter-alfred-nijhuis-ueber-seine-kuriose-karriere
XIton I'm sure there's room for a ton of improvement. 1 Tom Heaton - Burnley FC 2 Éverton - Flamengo 3 Brett Emerton - Feyenoord 4 Olaf Thon - Schalke 04 5 Waldemar Anton - Hannover 96 6 Aílton - Flamengo 7 Darren Anderton - Tottenham 8 Joey Barton - Manchester City 9 Aílton - Werder Bremen 10 Ewerthon - Borussia Dortmund 11 Aílton - Pumas
Below 5'8 XI: ---------------------Campos Benarrivo----Lahm---------Cordoba--Lizerazu ----------------Xavi----------Giles ---------------------Maradona- ------------Zola----------------------Messi -----------------------Signori I couldn't think of many Centre-backs under 5'8 so I had to put Lahm there. Cordoba is listed as 5'8-the smallest good centre back I could find. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.
I would suggest Olaf Thon (5'6) as one of the centre-backs (instead of Lahm). He played sweeper for Bayern (1992-94), Schalke (1994-01) and Germany (1997-98) and is thus a viable option for central defense.
This one is up for revision. I blatantly copied the names of some of the defenders from other threads without much further investigation. -Morten Olsen, Branko Zebec and Fahrudin Jusufi only played in Germany in their final years. And the Bundesliga started with the 63/64 season. LOL. Jusufi did get mentioned by Eric Batty when at Frankfurt but not by Kicker. -Frans de Munck played in the 50's. LOL. How about this fix: About the formation I don't see any direct way to compete with Robbery and their teammate Lewandowski. There are no other offensive tridents of note. So the next best thing is the best offensive double, namely Grafite and Dzeko, hence the Wolfsburg colors and 2008 formation. About the rest of the players -Rein is Frans de Munck's successor. Kicker and DBScalcio back him up as the best Bundesliga GK 2002-2004 . It is only fitting that he takes it up with Ronnie Hellström. -The left-footed Bordon and the right-footed Naldo would have a great Brazilian understanding, which is backed by DBScalcio and their respective clubs' alltime selections. -According to Kicker and fans, Rune Bratseth was a better libero than Per Røntved. He is also, arguably, the Norwegian GOAT. -On the flanks, Sagnol and Bailey, "the new Robben", are picked for their offensive game. Rodríguez and Alaba are optional. -Emerson and Bo Larsson only had a 3 year Bundesliga career. But it's 1 year longer than Sören Lerby and Jan Wouters They were also more dynamic. -Diego over the less technical Herzog, trigger happy Sigurvinsson and static D'Alessandro. But I have my doubts about Okocha. @Gregoriak. How good was Jay-Jay at Frankfurt? Just like Bailey he made things look so easy.
Mascherano and Tevez are over or at 5'8; at least according to wiki. The others are good suggestions. I actually never heard of Chumpitaz or De Vecchi before.
