Zico - Flamengo, Udinese, Kashima e Brazil NT Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler In the first post, I reported that Zico scored 101 FK goals in his career. I relied on information from a friend and many articles/bios saying ''Zico scored +100 FKs, 17 in Udine, 69 in Fla''. So I decided to search on this site (Zico official) http://www.ziconarede.com.br/znrpub/variedade/cadgols/fichatec.php, I looked his professional career and I found 80FK goals. Why Zico's goals are overvalued by other sources? - Maybe contains amateurs goals, goals in festive games. - Maybe Zico doesn't have information about all goals. Anyway, it's the best I've done. I think Zico has really 80FK goals, or a little more. Apologizes for the wrong information. Ronaldinho - Grêmio, PSG, Barcelona, Milan, Flamengo, Atlético-MG, Brazil NT 7 goals for Gremio 4 goals for PSG 24 goals for Barcelona 3 goals for Milan 4 goals for Flamengo 1 goal for Atlético-MG 11 goals for Brazil NT ALL: 54 goals (These statistics are ''Ronaldinho Video - All 54 Free Kicks'' in YouTube, the video whose author is my friend and said the numbers are right. However, the ''Revista Placar - November/2009'' says Ronaldinho had 63 FKs of career so far. I'm searching. If they are correct, Ronaldinho should have more than 70 FKs in career.)
My source is the video I made on YouTube with 75 of the 76 goals. Sport - There is a video of a newscast from 1994 (''Sport vs Grêmio 1994'' in YouTube) reporting a FK from Juninho there. Unfortunately it is one of the few videos that have him there. So I do not know if I scored more FKs. Vasco - discovered through the site http://futdados.com/especial-juninho-gols-pelo-vasco-desde-1995/ that makes football statistics and reliable. However, there are more than 10 goals that do not have video or in old newspapers (the Internet, for now). Lyon - in http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juninho_Pernambucano has a list of all the goals.
With everyone, yeah NT-friendlies are considered official, club friendlies and exhibition matches are not, because the clubs can agree the rules themselves.
Juninho? Yes, except a goal scored by Brazil NT in a friendly unofficial. Ceni well. Zico'm not sure... but in their times things were different. Brazil NT: 1 goal vs Bolivia - Eliminatórias 2006 1 goal vs Grécia - Confederations Cup 2005 1 goal vs Emirados Árabes - friendly official 1 goal vs FC Lucerne - friendly considered unofficial (preparation for the World Cup)
Zico has all its goals listed on their official website: http://www.ziconarede.com.br/znrpub/variedade/cadgols/igfichatec.php Udinese - "Udine agradece eternamente", Placar Especial Zico, 1989, Editora Abril, pág. 16 Japan (Shizuoka + Kashima) - http://www.ziconarede.com.br/znrpub/variedade/cadgols/iglista_jogos.php?OP=50 I'll ask his sources just to ease you, but all goals are listed in the official website of Zico.
Marcos Assunção - Santos, Flamengo, Real Betis, Barueri e Palmeiras 4 goals for Santos 3 goals for Flamengo 29 goals for Betis 5 goals for Grêmio Barueri 23 goals for Palmeiras ALL: 64 goals Sources: YouTube videos (goals in Flamengo and Santos) Recent news Official website Marcos Assunção PS: I could not see his goals in Rio Branco, Roma, Al Shabab and Al Ahli. According to the list of Marcos Assunção, he said, he has 130 career FKs, but this list was never made available for him...
I have no idea, friend ... Pelé is never mentioned in the list of major FKs. But I'll search and post here. I'm interested to know if he was good at it too.
Just like many youngers (who never knew Pele) alwyas claimed he was "overated"! I pity and sympathize for their knowledge! Of course Pele was among the TOP FK taker, indeed he was the main FK besides Didi and Garrincha (even those 2 were among the best FK of all times surely). He scored 1 FK in WC62 for example. Once I got a source saying he got 500+ assists and 100+ FK career (but he played more games than Zico) but I lost it ... and even we don;t know how accurate that was at time, unfortunately. Probably we have to go to all forum of Brazil fans (around the world) to see if someone still kept that
Would already be great if you can find it for Brazil NT. Also like to know how many PKs he scored. Great thread. Rep
Thanks! Look, a survey of these is very difficult and requires work. Therefore, as the PKs, I decided to consult the great page http://people.ufpr.br/~mmsabino/sstatistics/pele.html In it contained two PKs with Brazil NT: Brazil 3-2 France in 1963 and Brazil 5x3 Atletico Madrid in 1966, friendlies. The low number surprised me, so I have two theories for this: 1 - He scored few PKs with Brazil 2 - There are many goals he has no details and so it is hard to say. How I plan to research the FKs of Pele in Brazil NT, make it possible to know whether the number of 2 PKs is correct.
Cristiano Ronaldo - Manchester United, Real Madrid, Portugal NT 14 goals for Manchester United 18 goals for Real Madrid 5 goals for Portugal NT ALL: 37 goals Sources: YouTube Ronaldo7.net Wikipedia
yes but most of his club and NT friendlies were at "pro level" (like vs Argentina, Uruguay in some national cups, or vs Inter Milan , PSG or Porto ... were also very pro and high level goals). Again, his 1000+ goals were well ACCEPTED by FIFA (like it or not)
That was very possible. From 58-64: Didi was the main PK taker then Garrincha 65-70: Pele became the main PK taker, sharing with either Garrincha or Rivelino ... Note that in that period, pk was not very strict unless it was an obvious tackled in the box
Yes, it is likely. And according to the website, Pelé has 70 goals from penalty in his career, most after a few years of the 60s ...
Alessandro Del Piero - Juventus, Sidney FC, Italy NT 43 goals for Juventus 1 goal for Sidney FC 5 goals for Italy NT ALL: 49 goals Sources: YouTube (compilations)
Cronaldo has 17 freekicks for Real Madrid, you're probably counting the goal from Pepe's back which was officially given to Pepe.
NT friendlies are official, club friendlies or exhibition matches or half NT and club friendlies are not. His 1000 goals are not accepted by Fifa as official goals, because there is far too many variables in unofficial matches to compare them to official. I think I have already explained the difference between them to you, so consult that explanation if you don't remember.
You're right, man... Thanks. I retired only the goals by friendlies and forgot the goal given to Pepe (well debatable, incidentally). Then the correct is that Cristiano has 17 FKs for Real Madrid. Too bad I can not edit the post...
BadaBing, when told of Pele's 1000 goals, i didn't to started this discussion ... I just said that Pele should have a good number of FKs because scored many goals. - And if you, or someone else, would like to contribute to the thread, either correcting or bringing new stats... I'll be grateful. Preferably if they thought sites with stats that have FKs haha
