Folks are comparing Zlatan's goal vs. LAFC to Ronaldo's vs. Juventus. Without bias, I can say for me Zlatan's is waaaaaaay better. I've seen many bicycle goals and even many 30-40 yard goals and I've never seen one as spectacular.
Yeah it was kind of funny to see Patrick O’Neal and the hockey people act like they know/care anything about soccer. They don’t. But it’s even better to see them forced to pay some attention to it
Who knows. Magic is the President of Basketball Operations for the Lakers and that didn't stop Zlatan.
Jim Fox has actually spoken about the Galaxy quite a few times over the years. That's not to say he wasn't being prompted to do it by AEG, who's also the owner of the Kings and consequently his employer, but he does seem to know the basics of the game. A lot of the European players on the Kings roster past and present are also soccer fans btw. The Kings "insider" John Rosen used to mention talking Bundesliga with Christian Ehrhoff quite a bit before Ehrhoff was offloaded.
I forgot who was talking about it but one of the kings players said at some point they had to choose to keep playing soccer or hockey and they went with hockey.
All the European players and many North American players for the visiting team at both Staples Center and Honda Center play soccer in the hallway to stay loose before every single game. Many hockey players are fans of soccer. Many big hockey fans, however, are not. I’ve been around Jim Fox many times and never once heard him mention soccer, but maybe he has a passing interest. I know that Patrick knows next to nothing about the sport, and the same can be said for almost the entire TV crew. Alex Curry actually played soccer at San Diego State and still follows some, though.
He brought up the weekend's Manchester Derby during this past Saturday's telecast vs. Dallas. He even mentioned he was excited about "his" Manchester United's comeback. The guy does talk about soccer. At least on air. I'll defer to you on what he does personally though. I've never met him.
We’re not on a first name basis or anything, but I’ve talked to him a handful of times over the last 10 years or so. Like I said, a lot of hockey players are soccer fans, so maybe he is actually a fan. He did actually play hockey at one point in time, too. I’ve just only ever heard him talk about hockey. I will say he helped make me a ducks fan, tho.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to tease World Cup return as LA Galaxy star admits he has 'sky high' chances of playing for Sweden in Russia https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sports/ne...es-of-playing-for-sweden-in-russia/ar-AAvWlW3

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is giving the Galaxy and MLS quite a show on his world tour http://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/la-sp-galaxy-ibrahimovic-20180416-story.html
Tonight on @JimmyKimmelLive! https://t.co/1odWQRGbYR— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) April 17, 2018 If late night tv is your thing, check out Ibra tonight
I love the Ibra quote at the end: The day before, after the game, Ibrahimovic had been a proper diva, keeping the media waiting until the locker room emptied before emerging with Bastian Schweinsteiger, a Fire midfielder and former Manchester United teammate. Schweinsteiger has won both a World Cup and a Champions League crown — Ibrahimovic has won neither — but was now reduced to being a bit player in Ibramania. The show was over but the encore was about to begin. "Are they here for you or are they here for me? You tell me," Ibrahimovic said, smiling broadly and pointing to the waiting reporters. "Come, Basti. I'll make you big in your own town."
The guy is a one-man PR machine Zlatan Ibrahimovic has an alternative idea on how to improve the level of play across U.S. Soccer 😳😂 (h/t @dpshow) pic.twitter.com/6s5atz68DD— SI Soccer (@si_soccer) April 19, 2018 Performance + PR + cheap price I never expected it to be this good so credit to the management for getting this done.

This is a great point because his ability to laugh at himself takes away the potential jerk factor. I mean, yes, he's arrogant. But he does it in a way that's not like say....Rafa Marquez.
https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10156370010243887 I get the “show” is specifically about controversial issues, but talking about benching Zlatan over Gio isn’t controversial it’s just silly.
