I know you're joking but we haven't broken any rules, don't perpetuate that lie. He's on a contract that is able to be bought down with TAM and we have enough TAM to buy him down. Nothing untoward here.
Gio on one wing and EB on the other. Ola and zaltan up top....what MLS def can take those 4 at the same time? What do u do w allesandrini?
Here's a quote from Zlatan's auto-biography: "Practice sessions are just as important as matches. You can't train soft and play aggressive. You've got to do battle every minute, otherwise I'll come after you."

I remember when Beckham arrived many of the younger guys on the team were surprised/inspired by the fact Becks worked hard every training session and stayed after practicing free kicks, and that’s largely been true of the big names who’ve arrived since there are always stories (almost certainly planted, but still) about how player Y is training as hard in practice as during the game. It’s been one of the understated benefits of having these big name players come in. It’s not as widespread now, but it was very obvious lots of the younger players back in the early/mid days of the league treated MLS like they did their college or youth team not a job.
So Zlatan is supposed to play Saturday? I keep having flashbacks to what happened when Beckham was put in the lineup for marketing in his first game here. Hopefully history does not repeat itself.
And why do I think Sigi is better equipped to handle the circus than Frank Yallop was back in the day.
Well, Beckham had just picked up his injury and could barely walk. At least Zlatan is a couple months removed from his set back and looks somewhat mobile.... Not to mention the team surrounding Zlatan is a touch stronger....
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Manchester United departure was sad... he's a huge player that European football is losing forever, says Jose Mourinho http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ester-United-exit-sad-says-Jose-Mourinho.html
This guy is Superman. Flew in all the way from Europe, coming off an injury and the next morning he is doing a full training. Insane.
And the league was very different back then. A dozen or so global superstars and a decade later I think the lessons have been learned. Can you imagine Zlatan coming in 2007 given the state of the league at the time? That would have been some comedy gold. “This is not correct” would seem quaint.
Apparently, Zlatan had spent the last couple of weeks sleeping on Pacific time in Manchester, to help combat the jet lag
