Well its a shame. Zidane, who represents all that is good about real madrid in recent years retires. as we enter the age with no replacement, 2 DMs andwhat can be considered a solid yet boring team. However, i have 1 Q, the best player in the world cup, the man awarded the golden ball. why retire? you are probably still the best in the world, outplaying ronaldinho, yet, you can walk away from the game never to play again. its a shame. one Q i must ask, and i am fascinated to know., Zidane friends vs ronaldo friends, will this game go ahead again this year, will Zizou stil play?, if so im there, without a shadow of a doubt. i hope it goes ahead, so much Merci Zizou!

Are we talking about the "21st Century" movie? I got excited about it but read a review from the International Herald Tribune from the summer. It was shown at Cannes, IIRC. The format of that film is that several cameras stay tight on Zidane for a full game, and he gets sent off.
It was the game against Villareal in Bernabeu the season 2004-05. I still can remember how the stadium was full of cinema cameras to capture every single movement of Zidane. I remember that in that game the ref took some very questionable decisions, one of them was to send off Zidane near of the end of the game. Speaking about Zidane, probably you already know it, but Zidane's son Enzo plays in one of the RM youth teams, exactly Real Madrid Alevin B.
