    Madrid, Spain
    Club:
    Real Madrid
    Nat'l Team:
    Spain
    Casillas
    Salgado, Ramos, Mejía, RC
    Beckham, ZZ, Guti, Robinho
    Cassano, Raúl

All the subs were warming up, so I expect a full new squad in the second half.

BTW, Cassano should have scored a third; the ball hit the crossbar and in the replay it seemed like it had crossed the line.

I think the starting eleven was: Casillas, Salgado, Mejia, Sergio Ramos, Roberto Carlos, Beckham, Guti, Zidane, Robinho, Raul, Cassano

Haha I'm having to deal with my split personality right now, its Roy Keane's testimonial match right now as well. Looks like I'll just watch them both!

Nice goal by Jurado. Good finish. Pass from De La Red to Diogo, who centers it to the far post where Jurado one-times it with this right. Nice finish.

Oh snap, is Helguera on? The stream I have is very poor but I thought I heard his name.

What a golazo by Soldado. Madre mia! Wonderfully taken side volley. 5-1

I think Helguera is wearing the captain's armband.

6-1. Soldado gets his second. Nice move at the end to get past the keeper.

I was going to post earlier, the football on display sometimes better than what we see from the A team. Granted, we were playing a 2nd division French side today, but our future looks good. Soldado's 1st goal....my god. If I see any links I will post them.

Jurado and Soldado definitely belong in la primera, IMO. Wonderful play by those two. Nice play by Baptista, too.
So, anyone who watched the first half, what were the goals by Ramos and Cassano like? I only saw the second half of the game.

Typical Ramos header from free kick that the keeper blocked but Sergio slotted the rebound

Cassano's first was from tight pass by Raul in a crowd which gave Cassano a bit of space on the edge of the area and he placed a shot in the top corner

Cassano's second was a close range header from Beckham cross.

This sounds like the Cassano we need for real games. I really hope we keep him this summer, the guy can do a lot for his team if he gets a fresh start.

Forgot to add that while Soldado and Jurado's goals stood out, de la Red ran the midfield in the 2nd half and his pass for Roberto's second goal was world class.

    Thanks macaluca!
So did Sergio slot that ball into the goal with his head or with his feet? I'm really happy Cassano scored today. Hopefully that will raise his confidence to where he can perform well for us from now on.
