He's joining Miami FC, a new club in the USL First Division. http://www.uslsoccer.com/home/124563.html For those who don't know, Claudio Taffarel is the team's goalkeeping coach too. Miami plays in the same league as my Atlanta Silverbacks, so I'll get to see them at least a couple times this season. Also, USL First Division basically is the second division here in the U.S. behind MLS.
That's pretty interesting. I didn't know that Taffarel was in the US! I was wondering though - I thought that people considered the A-League as the level directly below MLS.
That is correct Alex, MLS = 1st div. and USL = 2nd even though the USL would like to be considered 1st.
COOL! I get to see a true Brazillian world cup winner play live when they come down to Puerto Rico to get their asses beat!!!
"Sai que é sua Taffareeeeeeeel!!!" Can't stand the announcer but the phrase caught on! So, thats where he is these days... Who would have thought...
I am glad ! As a brasilera i will go watch them a couple of times. Also, LA Galaxy has Naldo, another brasilian talent
he's been here for a few years. i was surprised. i saw him randomly interviewed on fox soccer channel.
