I think his time is over and that can not help Gladbach in it´s fight agaisnt relegation.

Ziege is 31 or 32 (I think), so I don't think his time is over. The key is health. If he can stay healthy, he can still be very effective.

I didn´t mean his age (he is 32). I never thought he was that good anyways.
Now with his health problems he has a long way to go. We´ll see. I have my doubts.

He actually didn't look too bad in the last couple of games of the season. He did nearly lose his whole leg though, so I can't see him getting back to a high level.

I'm hopeful he'll have enough left to help my Gladbach.

Do you know what exactly happened to his leg?

I dunno it eaxctly but it´s just rediculous. Ziege was never this good player like a lot of people thought.

Hey Wait a minute...I saw Ziege the first time way back in 93 and let me tell you, he was amazing...If it wasn't for those nagging injuries he would have had been a world class player. He was a magician with his left foot and he could sprint a whole game. He gave defences fits when he overlapped.

Really? I thought he did well early on and would've stayed at Liverpool longer if it wasn't for injuries.

I'm with you - Neuville, too. Should the team nickname be changed to The Old Warhorses?

Does anyone know what happened to Kirk Hawat, an American who signed with BMG?

I agree... Does anyone remember Ziege in the US Cup 1993? He was really brilliant then against Brazil, England and the USA. Too bad he couldn't take part in the World Cup 94.

He was one of the stronger players in the EC 96, too.

I also think highly of Ziege (and not because we share the same first name ;) ). I guess thats why he is Gladbach's new captain.
