I can't believe Zidane fired his agent!!!! And that all the telephone lines were down in France!! Plus, I heard Scarlett was in Boston, working on some kind of promotion so it couldn't have been her in the limo. He must be here for the Red Bulls. There can be no other explanation.
The NYPD just sent out a press release stating they've had a rash of headbutts reported along the BQE.
don't forget nyc is the place to meet for a TON of things. The MLS headquarters are located there too so on the miniscule chance he wants to be involved it might not be with RBNY
And the odds of 1) a regular media outlet's hearing about it, AND 2) that outlet is one of...well....both U.S. media outlets that would care, are slim. Thanks for the report.
I have found a new way to break ties in MLS games that will be sure to satisfy everyone: Zidane V Kovalenko death match at the center circle at the close of tie games!!
Far bigger stories have been broken on far less of a tip. I have no reason to doubt that ZZ is in NY or here on "beez-niss". As for him coming out of retirement to play for the Red Bulls or anywhere else in MLS, I think I'll hold out for a little more info.
If this were a soccer nation, it would be a story. If Zidane had been seen in a big city with a soccer team in almost any other country in the world, that nation's media would report it.
I can’t believe the moderators have let this thread go on for three pages in the "News and Analysis" forum. This thread should be moved given that the only source given for this little piece of news is a guy who works at the airport.
Not sure how this relates to Zidane ...but Big Apple Soccer quotes Arena in todays edition as saying that Red Bull will probably not get a big name player with the second DP. He also goes on to state that with the cap room RBNY could create and have created they could easily bring in 3 4 or 5 more players if they wanted. not sure what or how his comments reflect upon the Zidane sighting. It would be great for MLS though. If he played here that is.
I have a feeling Youri set this thing up and I wouldn't be surprised if he were offered a non playing contract by Red Bull now that he is retired as a player. I wonder which helmet Zidane will where?
Careful!!! "Beez-niss" in modern, coloquial French means... um... well... what Zizou accused Mazze's sister of. It's mainly used for "subaltern economies of exchange": distribution of international pharmaceuticals (drugs) or prostitution (in this case, male prostitution, 'cuz it's a guy saying it).
MLS headquarters are located in midtown Manhattan (420 Fifth ave). RBNY headquarters are located in glamorous Secaucus, NJ
yeah arena had mob ties. Also, 420 fifth ave is the HR department, 110 E 42nd St is where google maps lists MLS LLC. btw there's the Grand Hyatt - New York located *right* near 110 E 42nd. If someone really wants to pursue this they could hunt for him there.
Count me in... if I was crazy enough to give me son the middle name Zinedine Zidane, I'll still go to every game to watch him...
Zidane is here in New York. He is here to attend designer Yohji Yamamotos new line for Adidas. Zidane has previously given his input in helping Yamamoto with some of Adidas' line Yamamoto is Adidas' creative director of the Sport Style Division. This has nothing to do with him & MLS and as stated before the chances of him joining MLS are ZERO!!! http://www.radiofrance.fr/chaines/france-info/depeches/detail.php?depeche_id=070205171040.t80hcwi6
thanks for the useful info. but no one here is going to believe you when you state: "chances of him joining MLS are ZERO!!!" because i'm sure someone somewhere said previously that the chances were ZERO of Zidane giving imput and helping designer Yohji Yamamotos' new line for Adidas. and we all know how that turned out.
