we can only hope that milan is returning to its roots and dominating europe but underperforming domestically. ie. 2007 when we won the CL but end up 4th in serie a.

    • Zenit have not been beaten at home in European competition since succumbing to a 2-1 defeat against Real Madrid in 2008 - a run of 16 games.
    • The Russians' last fixture against Italian opposition came against Udinese in 2008-09 in the Uefa Cup, eventually losing 2-1 on aggregate.
    • AC Milan have not won away from home in the Champions League since defeating Auxerre 2-0 in November 2010.

Its always tough to play away games in Champs league especially in Russia. Something about traveling so far north and east. That being said, a draw would be acceptable. Obviously a win is perfered but if we get out of there with a point Id be ok. Im predicting a 1-1 draw or if you wanna be optimistic than a 2-1 Milan win..

superb goal by El shaarwaay or however you spell it, great to see him shouldering the resposibilty of this team after a lackluster start to the season, Abiati has been superb too, milan need to wake up now though and fight for every ball

Milan need to wake up. Immediately. Zenit are all over them and they could score many more. Abbiati is keeping Milan in game so far but he can not do it all by himself.
