Promoted. Good season for Valentin. Bodo/Glimt were miles ahead of everyone in Norway's 2nd tier this season.
1-0 today Zarek went 90, Dane scored the goal to put them up, YA Anthony Avalos went 90 for the losing side.

8-0 win for Bodo/Glimt today, wonder if they let Zarek play forward. After the season they've had, it'd be a shame if they couldn't keep their squad together to play in the top flight next season.
They may not have let him play forward last week, but yesterday, he netted his first goal of the season in a 1-1 draw. Will be very interesting to see what he does next.
Yes, but Montreal has Hassoun Camara at right back, so they might be willing to part with Valentin. Personally, I hope he gets to stick around and play in the first division next season. This season feels like it was only half of the job.
I saws that and was wondering the same thing. If you watch the video you can hear the whole stadium erupt in boos when he is celebrating on the sideline and the camera has already cut away.
Bodø/Glimt wants to bring Zarek over permanently. I hope the Impact are willing to sell him because it'd be nice to see how he does in the top flight after being such a big part of their promotion campaign.
As expected after their promotion, Zarek Valentin becomes a permanent Bodø/Glimt player. Signed from Montreal Impact for two years.— Brendan Husebø (@BrendanHusebo) December 19, 2013
Very interesting. Would think MLS would not want a precendent where they let their young players go on a free that are under contract, something nominal like 100K would work in my mind. Not alot of money but sets a standard that MLS has assets.
Zarek goes 90 on opening day in the top flight, game ends 1-1, Bodo's goal scored by honorary YA Dane Richards.
Bad news... Zarek Valentin @ZarekValentin 4m Yes, I tore my Achilles today. Yes, my season is over, but yes I will come back stronger than ever I promise you that. This is my journey… Terrence Boyd @TBoyd91 2m @ZarekValentin get well soon bro #cmonyellowteam
Very unfortunate. It seemed like Valentin had a good thing going in Norway and I was looking forward to see how he'd fare in the top division after he started for a club that was utterly dominant in the second level in 2013.
1st full team session done. Played a little 11v11 and felt fantastic! Almost there but last few steps next before I'm fully cleared #Giddyup— Zarek Valentin (@ZarekValentin) October 14, 2014
Happy to be back fully in training. Light at the end of the tunnel is becoming really bright! It's been a long 6 and a half months— Zarek Valentin (@ZarekValentin) October 22, 2014
Good news: in its first season in the top flight, Valentin's club has assured itself of safety. Hopefully, he'll win back the starting job he had at the start of the year.
