I think this is the competitive debut for Steffen? Against mighty Bournemouth.

Bournemouth score on first opportunity, Surridge blasts low into the side netting from 15' basically no chance for Steffen. City had scored five minutes earlier, so 1-1 now. 0% save percentage for Steffen - still better than Kepa.

seeing a lot of that low/hard back across the goal lately. defender offered zero resistance but still...im not a "nothing the keeper could do there" sort of guy. 1-1 in the 27th

Any comments about his distribution? With Gaurdiola, that's really how you're going to have to measure him

Very little action. In-possession positioning seemed good and helped cut off a couple counter attempts, but not many opportunities to show off distribution (Steffen and CBs completely uncontested in transition, so kick out to defender always the logical pass).

No saves yet but there's been no need for saves. The goal was beyond any keeper.

PS: It's looking more and more like it's just a matter of time for City.

Some ballsy goalkeeping there from Steffen.

He charged way out of goal to cut out an attack. He could have been beaten - but he got the better of the attacker.

    56' Great save

Superb work from Steffen saves City. Brooks beats the offside trap and puts in Surridge but Steffen races out of the box and times his block to perfection.

    That saved a certain goal.

    57' Perfect timing

Had the City keeper got his timing wrong he would have been in danger of a red card. Great work!

Some Mahrez magic that Foden finishes in the rebound. 2-1.
