Instead of opening your arms to invite possibly hundreds of new fans the Ultras' could bring to Spartan, you critisize them. If all of us had your attitude, there would be 5 people at Spartan for the home opener. um, ok Mr. Teal .... i'm all for fans being at the game. i just don't think the crude behavior their website trumpets is what we should be encouraging. there's fine line between enthusastic fans and obnoxious fans. You made about 4 posts about your dislike and overall have been "talking ************" about the Ultras', so even though I do not condone it, took matters into his own hands.
Well things sure have taken a turn for the worse. I'll be the first to admit that when it comes to this supporters group, the cart was put before the horse, which caused things to start off in the wrong direction. That aside though, its sad to see so many Quakes fans coming out against this group. What's not to like about having more vocal fans at matches? Whats wrong with a more exciting atmosphere at Spartan? What's so bad about an alternative to the Casbah? Since day one of the Clash, people have been complaining about this situation, yet when somebody steps up to try and do something about it, they just get a load of sh!t for their efforts. I can understand why people might not want to be a part of this group, yet I can't understand why so many people look foward to seeing this group fail. Contrary to whatever you might think, this group is not about violence, racism, or getting drunk and scaring away the soccer moms and thier kids, or starting fights with fellow fans. This group is about supporting the San Jose Earthquakes, nothing more, nothing less.
if that's the case, then I'm all for it. but you're right about one thing ... it has gotten out of hand. we're all fans of the quakes, so in the end we're all on the same side. let's save the venom for the galaxatives.

Really though IBT, that avatar looks exactly like something my son made last year. Except he used it in a much more pro-QUAKES way. Did you see it at the stadium last year? Calvin was wearing a Mulrooney jersey, number 8 and all, peeing on the Galaxative logo. It was SICK!!! He hung them up around the stadium last year during the last SJ vs LA game. He proudly has a copy hanging on his bedroom wall today. Ah, my kid, such a gifted genius! Good luck with your group.
This is all just so sad. There's a place for every kind of fan in our stadium. Ultras, please remember there's always gonna be people talking fish about someone or everyone. Look how BK talks about his team! JK. But please try to not be so sensitive. Suck it up and take it like men. Sheesh! Also remember that you talked fish about the Casbah (of which I am a member). But people are entitled to their opinions. The Casbah gets comments all the time. We weren't loud enough, we were pretty weak, we weren't big enough, the mic sucked.... Blah, blah, blah. Please learn to take some constructive criticism. And please also learn to treat the other fans with respect. Remember that there are many different fans who go to the games. The quiet soccer moms, the Casbah, the ref haters (hee hee).... Anyway, just let the comments slide. What the heck do they matter to you anyway? And be respectful that people show their support in different ways. If you don't learn these things, you and you alone will be your only downfall. *sigh* Can't we all just get along.
