I 100% think we should call him up. But England players are very loyal to their country. If he has a chance to play for them he takes it. At the rate he’s going they’ll end up capping him. Same situation as Balogun except he’s actually good enough for England
I think they should call him up for the Europe camp in Nov. It's not official. He can meet the players, see how he feels and at least they can reach out and see if he'd be interested at all. I don't think he'll give up on England this soon but you've got to lay the ground work and well, he can make friends, become in touch with all the other Yanks in Europe. Most of those guys talk to each other on a fairly regular basis.
Do we even know if he has any strong ties to USA apart from being his place of birth? Plenty of people are born in other countries with very little prospect of representing them internationally. E.g Reyna and Haaland.
And just because I feel like being a Debbie Downer, this isn't exactly Rafa Benitez's Valencia. The owner is a bit "unpredictable" shall we say, and it sees that he's blowing cold on the club at the moment, netting 60 million from sales in the off-season (Rodrigo, Ferran Torres and Coquelin) with no incomings except for promoted youth-teamers like Musah. It's still a huge achievement by the lad to be getting PT in La Liga at 17 and let's wish him the best of luck, but let's moderate expectations a little too.
