Meh, maybe, I know it is very, very bad, when a midfielder creates a least one dangerous chance per game for the other team. I get all the arguments for why things are thus, but it has been pervasive in his time in Italy. I really like the good things about his game, but I can't abide the all too frequent instances of inexplicable concentration lapses and/or rash decisions.
I say this with some seriousness, Yunus should go play in Saudi Arabia. The top teams are at a really decent level and he can play in a Muslim country. He might feel more comfortable.
Like Yunus is a devout Muslim man who might feel more comfortable living and playing in a Muslim country? Or that Saudi a decent league where he might pivot to at a difficult juncture in his career? Is that a silly thing in your mind or are you maybe reacting from a personal bias you have just a little bit?
that anybody who is a practicing Muslim should move to Saudi. Just like every practicing Catholic should move to Serie A.
Don’t be hyperbolic. Do you think that Catholics only live in Italy? It seems like a difficult subject for you to consider with intellectual honesty.
i think all Catholics and all Protestants should move to Scotland, don't see how that could go wrong.
no bias, I I am not hyperbolic. Do you think Muslims only live in Saudi? Consider what you said originally. Lets drop this before we get erased.
I’m saying a specific thing about Yunus Musah, for his life and career maybe it would be a good move, just a measured suggestion. You are getting offended at what I said and extrapolating what I said to assume I am making sweeping assumptions about all people. People make quick assumptions like that when they’re triggered or xenophobic.
Should every muslim living in the West consider that option? France and Spain might stop being world powers.
Why is it that when I say something about one person who is Muslim, you all come at me as if I said something about all Muslims? That doesn’t make sense.
I think each individual person can make their own decision. Certainly a lot of players have moved to Saudi for a number of different reasons. I’m suggesting that Yunus may want to look at that as an option. I know this is an extremely difficult concept for a lot of you to grasp.
Seems like the Yanks Abroad board is where all the ugly Americans hang out. Narrow world views, sophomoric tropes without a second thought…the online equivalent of a bunch of obese tourists in cargo shorts and 12-year-old New Balance sneakers prancing around complaining about small hotel rooms and no ice cubes in their sodas, but happy to overpay to view artifacts they never knew existed in museums whose names they can’t pronounce. You guys stay extra proud of yourselves. I’ll do my best to stay away.
I will only speak for myself, but I find the idea that KSA would be the best league for Musah to move to pretty odd. I mean, even if one thought Musah might be more comfortable somehow in a majority Muslim country (which, I guess, would be based off his statements in Qatar maybe?), it seems Turkey would be a better choice - closer to where he spent a good bit of his youth (Italy) and a better league, and more westernized culture, than KSA. France, too, has a large Islamic minority, and a lot of Islamic and Ghanian players, although the national team Ramadan thing might not make it seem all that attractive. Does anyone know if Musah is Sunni or Shia? Most Ghanian Muslims are Sunni, as far as I know, so that's most likely but I think there is a Ghanian Shi'a minority as well. He certainly shows no indication of being Wahhabi/Salafist-inclined or in any way attached to more strict Islamic movements. Anyway, my guess is he stays in Italy and plays as much as he can, although I do think Ligue 1 could be interesting from a footie perspective.
Wow - non sequitur much? Damn dude - you raise points to consider but your conclusion doesn't remotely follow from his statement.
