It's just quite weird that none of the media, even with those covering half-baked rumours hasn't yet mentioned it. Also, there hasn't been any word from Doncaster Rovers about the deal. The only source the Korean media quotes is 'an expert in European transfer market'. We'll see if there is any press release from Doncaster this evening.
Only bit of news I could fine but nothing referring to Yun Suk Young http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foot...ild-up-dickov-closes-in-on-defender-1-6180532
yup, so even if he does move to Doncaster.. he won't be first choice. at least Dickov is looking for multiple LBs
No, though mostly due to Gooch being injury prone and not getting games at his club. If Gooch does get a good run of games and be in decent form, he'll get a shot at making US WC squad. US first choice pair at Omar Gonzalez and Matt Besler, while decent CBs, but aren't top level quality. Not that Gooch is any better, but US does need help at CB. (and which makes it more laughable how bad Mexico is, when US is the best team in CONCACAF by far)
well, YSY played today with Doncaster Rovers lost 4-0 to middlesbrough http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24576598 edit: signed with Doncaster Rovers til Dec. 31st http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/news/article/yun-suk-young-signs-for-rovers-1133945.aspx
Doncaster Rovers: Dickov fumes over Boro rout Paul Dickov read the riot act after labelling his side’s display in last night’s 4-0 defeat at Middlesbrough as “unacceptable”. http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk...-rovers-dickov-fumes-over-boro-rout-1-6187075
maybe imploded after? Yun Suk-Young followed by translator down tunnel. Not sure that'll be required. Second Brighton goal another very soft one to concede.— Paul Goodwin (@paulgoodwinNW) November 2, 2013
umm, based on doncaster twitter.. they imploded in the last 10 mins. of the game. they tied the game around 80th min & but fell apart by conceding two soft goals.
I meant the commentary. I.e. was goodwin referring to heckling for a bad performance in general or at yun specifically. Because both goals were off set pieces where I'm not sure what YSY would have gotten blame for (e.g. corner and a FK goal)
hopefully YSY isn't to blame.. via whoscored, YSY got a 6.3 with the team getting a 6.43. he led the team in touches by far with 82. 76% pass accuracy. 50% aerial duels won. 1 tackle. http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/721168/Live
yea, i guess we will find out through match report. both were considered soft goals & YSY hasn't been stellar defender in set-piece situation lately. edit: from BBC ticker... 3rd goal can't be YSY's fault
man of the match for Doncaster Rovers today http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/rovers-hit-by-late-double-blast-1-6210452
I guess the guy Yun is filling in for is out 12 weeks. http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk...s-still-very-much-on-dickov-s-radar-1-6203001
