he was played on the left and rarely got a chance to run. had one opportunity to cross but cut it back onto his right and did a lofted rather than a driven cross. doesnt feel like he is being done any favors by getting left back appearances when he is struggling enough to get up to speed on the side where hes comfortable

I don’t know that this is correct, but I’ll post it here because it’s relevant.From what I’ve read from Schalke fans who watch the youth teams (same people who were correct about all the American players at Schalke before Rotundo), Rotundo is a good player, but far from a main standout in the Schalke youth system.

In case you were wondering why Johnny hasn’t played much recently, this is the apparent reason. He’s training for the Olympic Weightlifting Trials after not making the Olympics in soccer.

I don’t know much about it but the manager said Johnny must get stronger & one of the strength coaches said Johnny is lifting heavy weights. Explains why he didn’t play in 12 out of 13 games.
They can last anywhere from 6-15 weeks. Don’t know his specific details as all SCs vary.
