I think we never got around to starting a new one, so let's start a new one. Here's the old one! https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/youth-yanks-abroad-2005-younger-yobs-2023-24-thread.2127296/

The winter transfer window may turn out to be a significant one for some of our junior yanks abroad. Paxten Aaronson's loan to Utrecht has been very good for his development. It would be great to see something similar for Wynder, Banks, Campbell and Kochen.
maybe worth taking a look at some of these guys idk 3 US/US-eligible teenage keepers have now made the matchday squads for teams in Top 5 Leagues this season: Giorgio De Marzi (Roma, 17) Diego Kochen (Barcelona, 18) Adam Delplace (Lens, 18) De Marzi and Delplace have yet to make an appearance for a youth national team 1873474390563910067 is not a valid tweet id

Being good enough as a CB for France is ridiculous. They have players all over who are the best players on teams and in Leagues. I'll watch a game and discover another French CB all the time. So unless this kid is better than all but one of them this could be great for the US to have a good CB prospect getting trained up there. I also wouldn't indict US Soccer without knowing more as there is so much growth that occurs around that age and then learning your new size that players can pop quickly. I think Richards went through something like that.
They sometimes drop the ball, but there also sometimes is a good reason for why these kids aren’t called in when it seems obvious they should be. I would be skeptical of what’s going on, while also acknowledging there may be some valid reason we’re all missing.
Agree and also what I was thinking. I just know nothing of him and his situation and if you don't maybe no one does. Does beg the question on how he was scouted enough for a move. Sometimes it's family friends and I've even known kids whose parents didn't want any MLS or US involvement (always a dad from somewhere else).
Degny is pretty unanimously rated as a top prospect, so this isn’t coming out of nowhere. I think that’s why this topic is coming up. I personally have not gotten a good answer why he hasn’t ever been on a USYNT camp, but I’m another that believes he’s an easy selection for the age group. One of the easiest, in fact.
Of course it could be but I'd love too hear from a parent whose kid plays with him to see if they know some details.
