Antonee to AC Milan is now a done deal. Over $10 million for a championship left back. Rodriguez is off to PSV which is bad for Chris Gloster's chances this season but Antonee getting this move should get him a USMNT call up if a club is willing to spend that much on him.
Why is it, that every time we have an American defender playing for Milan, Ibra is playing for them as well?
Here are Austria's 538 rankings 19 RB Salzburg 73 LASK Linz 124 Rapid Vienna 162 Wolfsberg 203 Sturm Graz 255 Austria Vienna 310 Rheindorf Altach 337 Hartberg 429 Admira 434 Mattersburg 489 St. Pölten 505 WSG Tirol Other than the top 2/3 teams, that's MLS level at best (ranging from 135 - 535)
I would say other than Salzburg, who clearly have developed into a machine with the RB cash.............................the rest of the Austrian League is inferior to MLS. And not by a little. Part of their problem is the second a youngster shows a modicum of skill, he leaves the Austrian league. So they never actually do squat. They never gain any forward momentum. The reason we got into this discussion was solely my claim that Palmer-Brown hasn't developed in the way I'd hoped. No matter where one rates the Austrian League, I don't know how someone can argue otherwise. Unless they thought he was an Austrian League caliber player in the first place. Which would be odd considering he won Player of the Tournament at the U20 CONCACAF Championships. By the way, if folks want to feel depressed...................check out the roster of that team which won the U20 CONCACAF Championship. Tyler Adams is the only member of that team playing at a high level. [Well, there's Jonathan Gonzalez. But I think we can even include him in the disappointments.]
You are missing the point. Instead of looking at the context surrounding it and his actual play on a weekly basis, you've made it a criticism of his development that he's playing in Austria. I don't think that's how we should go about this. As I said, we'd all have preferred a different path, but that doesn't mean he's not playing well or is developing poorly. Otherwise, every player who isn't in the top few leagues would fit into that category.
It's hard to believe this stuff happens at the top level of the game, but it does. Bad news for Robinson. I don't think he's ever going to get a better move in his career than this. Antonee Robinson was in Milano today, he had medicals with AC Milan but... problems for his contract and the deal is now OFF. He’s coming back to Wigan. 🔴 #Wigan #ACMilan #transfers— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 31, 2020 FC Dallas academy player, Joel Bustamante, moves to Greuther Furth U-23's. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8A5kylob0a/?igshid=pylzl1kyc37p
I thought he was on his way down before the contact occurred, but it seems like had a great performance, nonetheless.
Bayern Munich is after Sergino Dest. They wanted him in the winter but were told no by Ajax. A summer transfer is possible depending on negotiations. Second straight match that 21-year-old winger Giuseppe Barone was in the squad for Perugia, who are 8th in Serie B. His move was announced a couple weeks ago. They had a bad loss so hopefully they look to him for more playing time. https://t.co/xIx0R9F2rb— ChuckMe92 Soccer (@ChuckMe92Soccer) February 8, 2020
Perhaps one to watch -- an American-born '00 attacker in Sweden (who has some SYNT exposure and may be provisionally cap-tied). https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/nils-fröling-at-kalmar-ff.2108751/

The first period looks to me like a starting XI (with Pomykal, Servania, Hedges, Jesse and Acosta all out). Note that Roberts doesn't start in central midfield even with those three out. The two other 30-minute lineups are in the column with comments. One comment from the author was that he didn't think Cerrillo did particularly well. Edwin is trying to be more versatile, however, by showing he can play farther up the field. Right now I have him firmly ensconced as 3rd string player at the #6 or the #8.
Still never capped by either country (USA or Argentina) at any level, I believe. I'm surprised that they have three divisions not mentioning of the country while being attacked by their peaceful neighbors for the last 70 years.
