    By the way, this would be an interesting solidarity payment/training compensation example. Kellman was with FCD, but not part of the development academy. In the eyes of FIFA, does it matter? Maybe not...........................

    Anyone got a scouting report on Patrick Koffi?

    Strengths, type of forward, size? Is he more of a wing-type forward, a withdraw forward or an old-school 9?

    Watched him for years. He is a Dallas Texans product. He is quick, very skilled, and uses shiftiness and guile more than pace or size. Good shot and very hard nosed. He was big into the futsal scene as well that helped develop his footskills.

    He seems like more of a 10 or false 9. He is not a traditional number 9 in any sense but could play winger if need be.

    I had been wondering why he wasn't playing with Bayern II. Hopefully it's more of a 2-3 month injury as opposed to an 8-9 month injury.

    This is one transfer that must happen. QPR or elsewhere.
    Like all lower league English clubs, Southend can use the money.
    So I suspect they're just holding out for the best deal....................

    If people want to identify the next lower-tier English club to disappear, it might be Southend. There are a ton of options. They're all in trouble. Twice last season Southend failed to pay their players.

    Oliver Wyss, Orange County's GM and president of soccer operations said that if Cervantes hits all of his milestones, the fee OCSC collects could result in a "high six-figure deal." But he added that Orange County will receive a percentage of any future transfer and that is where they hope any financial windfall will come from.

    Also, we wonder about the work permit issue. I guess they'll loan him elsewhere while they figure it out. Doesn't make much sense, but whatever............

    In a prepared statement, Rangers Head of Academy, Craig Mulholland, indicated that the plan for Cervantes is for him to be loaned to a team in Europe some time during the current season. In the meantime, while Cervantes is officially a Rangers player, he'll continue to train with Orange County, due in part to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

    No evidence of a EU/UK passport so it seems Rangers will have to loan him to a team outside the UK. He won’t satisfy Scottish work permit requirements without one.
