He wasn't bad. He was active, seemed to find openings, had one good chance I can remember. I have liked watching Dusseldorf, but today they were mostly on their heels.

They're losing 7-1 with 10 minutes to go. Fortuna is one terrible team.

I was just going to say that. They are afraid to pass and when they do is to no-one. Morales tries but can't do much without any help from teammates.

What a joke that Alfredo didn't get a fair shake to be in the US midfield. Year after year fighting for a job in a hyper-competitive league with huge stakes.

He might not be sexy or a star, but he sure has something our team could've used.

Fortuna Dusseldorf visit SSV Ulm 1846 of the Regionalliga Sudwest today for a DFB Pokal match, and Morales retains his starting spot for Dusseldorf.

Ulm has jumped out to an early 1-0 lead.

Düsseldorf and Stuttgart are so bad, they'd have trouble surviving in the 2.BuLi.

PS: Fortuna is playing most of their A-team against a Regionalliga club.

lol FD won 2BL last season but would struggle to survive in 2BL?

besides Ulm beat last year's champs Frankfurt.

Things have turned around quickly. Dusseldorf now lead 1-4, and Morales has earned himself a yellow card. Maybe he can get himself on the scoresheet in the second half.

Frankfurt is focused on getting at least a Europa spot for next season, so they were ok letting the Pokal go. Düsseldorf should be focusing on avoiding the drop at this point, instead of playing the A-team against a Regionalliga club to keep going in the Pokal. Unless they've already given up and expect to go down.

how is that any different that Cardiff or Fulham in EPL?
promoted sides don't always do well, it's nothing new.

it's more like the team overall is made up of 2nd division level players which includes Morales.

Fortuna just did one of the most surreal things ever: 4-on-1 counter, and one of their forwards lobbed the ball into the keeper's hands.

Morales out @ 66', he did fine against the weak rival. And I'm out too.

Morales absent today as his team won 4-1 vs Hertha, their 1st win since Sept 15, granted all the goals happened after a Hertha red card.

Düsseldorf looked a lot better today without Morales. Still, Bayern is not expected to barely tie one of the bottom-feeders at home. Nico Kovac is more hated than Jogi Löw these days.

6 matches in a row with Morales as starter and they lose all 6.

then another 6 matches were he's only made 1 appearance as a sub and they get 3 wins and 1 draw.

last 2 matches did not make squad and both were games they won.

killer blow looked to have been the Gladbach game where he made some blunders.

doesn't look good for him. He seems surprised that he's being left out.
