Haven't seen him play for la Viola yet, but in past years he seemed to be an all or nothing player. He was either dominating the game or completely invisible. He also has something of a reputation for misbehavior, although I don't know how much of that is because of the rabid Italian media.
Hidetoshi Nakata Saw him for the first time at WC1998 in action for Japan. I was like this guy is amazingly gifted player, who makes a team tick, he could be a superstar! Perugia signed him and since then has confirmed his potential to be a great player but hasn't turned out quite Superstarry yet though! For Roma he played sporadically and at times was truly World Class. Case in point. 2001 scudetto winning season for Roma. in Game vs JUVE he singlehandedly brought Roma back from 2-0 down in Delle Alpi to a 2-2 which saw Roma gain momentum and my JUVE lost it. Since then he has been a shadow of his true self at Parma and at WC2002! At Fiorentina, from all accounts his return to form has coincided with the Viola moving up the table.
