Agreed that Aguero is amazing but there is something about Pato that I like. He makes all these feints and drops of the shoulders that floor the defender quickly. For example, he is shielding the ball with a defender at his back. He does a couple of step overs, two drops of the shoulder and suddenly is in ten yards of space when before he had none. Although, that is less concrete evidence of being talented than that Aguero video, so I think I will give it to you that Aguero is at least as, if not more talented than Pato.

The top 3 were vrey nice, and he also had 2 others that were well placed. he has so much pace, I wish I could run that fast, Im the age he was in that video and nobody I know can run that fast besides the track sprinters.

    Anita--Aissati--Enoh
    Sulejmani--Suarez--Urby

Incidentally this is very close to the typical lineup. Realistically very few of these players will stay with the club in the long-run.

Edit: Ooops I didn't read the rule change about the age.

Freddy Adu is still our most special prospect, for better or for worse.

You were talking about Aguero, but my impression is that Pato is faster.

Using your own team I would drop Marcelo completely, move Marin to the left, move Walcott to the right-wing and play Pato in the free spot.

Here is my weak attempt. Only players born in 1989 or in the 90s.

    GK Asenjo

    RB Rafael
    CB Breno
    CB Sakho
    LB Santon

    DM Zuculini
    LW Piatti
    AM Kroos
    RW Walcott

    FW Pato
    FW Krkic

BTW, if you think that you are able to spot rising stars, you should play Fantasy Scout, a game where you have to be the first to spot a player. I've written about the game in a different thread (https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=17325713), anyway the reference site is http://fantasyscout.altervista.org/.

Personally I don't think Theo Walcott will mount to anything big. He has taken quite a while to mature and even now three years laters, he's still showing glimpses of his talent but still bottling up in some occasion even when he's not under pressure. His main attribute it seems is simply pace. His passing, shooting, crossing is very inconsistent. I know he's only 20 but by now he should have matured his game, he's had the time, but apparently he's not a quick learner.

Juan Mata, Granero, Jack Wilshere, Giovinco are better prospects IMO.

I agree that he probably has a lower ceiling than the likes of Wilshere or Ozil, but I don't think it's fair to say he hasn't matured his game. His decision making, passing, crossing and finishing have all improved and he's shown flashes of real quality. The composure to take his hattrick in Zagreb, the brace against the German U21's in the playoffs, the run to set up Adebayor in the CL, twice netting against Chelsea (which takes his tally against them higher than Cristiano Ronaldo's, fwiw), etc. suggest that he's got a bit more than just pace in his locker and if he could put it together consistently than he'd be a very good player, IMO.

The biggest thing working against him is simply the over expectations. His breaking through so young, moving to Arsenal and getting put in the World Cup squad in 06 put him in many peoples eyes in the same talent bracket as prodigies like Rooney, Messi and Ronaldo, all who showed incredible ability at a fairly young age. Walcott compared to them looks like a bit of a let down, but I think if you evaluate him honestly his progression hasn't been either unduly slow or disappointing, IMO. I think that if he continues to progress, by the time he's 25 or so (barring any injuries) he'll have matured into a very dangerous player and while that might seem a long time (8 or 9 years as a pro) it's really not when compared to other promising but not prodigious young talents.

Walcott will do well for arsenal as he is improving but he wont be a world class striker. He just does not have the makings of one. Players like Messi, C.Ronaldo, Torres, all have potential to be legendary for club and country but as for Walcott, he will be remembered by Arsenal fans but not by football.
