Kluivert is one of those weak-minded chokers I mentioned in the other thread. Can't stands 'im, can't stands 'im, can't stands 'im.

funny how a guy who hopped off the pine at 19 to win a champions league final and nodded home to equalize brazil with 2 minutes remaining in a world cup semifinal is considered a choker

and how many goals have you scored? oh wait youre a hammer fan, duh! the answer is ZERO

IMO, if Gullit didn't quit Oranje prior to the 94WC in the US of A, Oranje beats Brasil and gains a star over ther crest!

My line up would kill the current team, at least by 2 or 3 goals, but i feel ya, my bad.

How could anyone put Kluivert in current form ahead of van Nistelrooy? Heck, I'd even consider putting Jimmy Floyd ahead of Kluivert at this point, but Makaay is putting up amazing numbers right now.

I don't care what he did for his club teams.

He has had a couple of nice moments but I'm standing by what I wrote.

what are you 14, 15 yrs old?

for roarks, i just feel that JFH and RVN have not played as well in internationals as kluivert does

    for fries-

wasnt patrick also top scorer at EURO2000?

    career ORANJE 64 gp - 36 g

some nice moments indeed and hes only 27

i suppose kurt warner and mariano rivera are also chokers

what difference does it make how old i am, when youre right youre right

im sure itd be nice tho if west ham were ever in a position to choke - no wonder you dont care about club play (although oddly you are judging your starting striker on current club form)

I find it difficult to take you seriously when you ask me questions like, "and how many goals have you scored?"

well fine then - im 33

im sorry i just find it laughable when fans refer to a champion as a choker

my point with the question was basically 'who are you to criticize kluivert?'

perhaps if you were a better player than patrick, such a statement might have carried more weight, but alas you are not

    Kluivert

Personally, I think he's more effective playing behind a main striker (or even two) as he's done on a couple of occasions for the Oranje. He's not a great goal scorer (too erratic IMO) but he can be effective creating opportunities for Makaay, RVN, and JFH who are all better strikers (though Kluivert is the best overall forward of this group IMO).

I guess we can laugh together.

What's the point of this website if one cannot praise or criticize? I'm not a better player than Kluivert nor am I a better manager that Van Gaal. But I still wanna speak my mind. Would I like Kluivert on my team (Metro, West Ham)? Heck yeah! Do I want Kluivert starting over v. Nistelrooy or Hasselbaink (I haven't seen enough of Makaay) for Holland? No.

i agree with windy about playing kluivert behind the strikers, he can set up great opportunities for the better scorers

i just think people unfairly judge kluiverts value to the ORANJE - i am often sticking up for him - i also criticize him, at times, but the 'choker' label is quite a stretch, dontcha think?
