    Toluca vs Pumas : Toluca

UNAM reaches the liguilla as one of the top teams while Toluca has struggled to get to this match. However el Diablo Mayor will be the deciding factor unless Kikin Fonseca can pull through for Pumas. My money goes with Toluca as they have proven to be one of the better sides in Liguilla finals..

Cruz Azul vs Tigres :

This match can go either way.. Both squads have a core group of talented players. Tigres will place its hopes on walter Gaytan while Cruz Azul has Chelito Delgado.. If Marcelo "Chelo" Delgado recovers he be the deciding factor and can carry the team all the way to the final. However Pumpido has proven to be a great coach so it wouldnt surprise me if he had something up his sleave..

    Atlante vs Santos : Santos

Pony ruiz to Borgetti and forget about it.. Santos will take this one as they seem to have a better momentum as of late.. Atlante will depend on Luis Gabriel Rey unless Chamagol fully recovers and the south american strike force can play a more important role..

    Necaxa vs Pachuca : Pachuca

Pretty even match.. Necaxa will be looking for the defensive mistakes as allways while Pachuca will miost likely be the more agressive team. If Bofo brings his A game then Pachuca should take this match up.

    Pumas vs Toluca: Toluca

Toluca kills Pumas on the counter attack. I do not yet trust Hugo in high profile games where you need a bit more strategy and plantamiento rather than just plain attack.

PROVE ME WRONG HUGO! PROVE ME WRONG!

Cruz Azul vs Tigres : Tigres

From watching Tigres at Cruz azul at the regular season they did not look good in stadio azul. It all depends on whether cruz azul can take a lead into el volcan (if they tie at estadio azul they have no chance)

    Atlante vs Santos : Atlante

let me copy what I said about Hugo

I do not yet trust Herrera in high profile games where you need a bit more strategy and plantamiento rather than just plain attack but if Atlante can take a lead to Torreon they will win this.

    Necaxa vs Pachuca : Pachuca

from watching the first encounter of the regular season at aguascalientes the obvious choice is Pachuca. It was a snoring bore draw and unless Necaxa gets out of its defensive style imposed by Arias and truly attack a lot and often I don't think they will win at home. This makes it worse knowing they will play a team that can frustrate them with a taste of their own medicine with defensive tactics.

    Toluca vs Pumas : UNAM

It seems that teams that tend to well against Toluca are the ones that dont worry about Cardozo in a direct manner meaning no double or triple teaming OR dont rely on the offside trap (hoping Cardozo will take himself out). THe ones who play well are the ones who attack the problem at the root, that is Isreal Lopez. It is Lopez who feeds the offense. With an extra man on Cardozo, Zinha, Carmona, and/or Garcia are open.. which all they have to do is dish off to the open lane (either Cardozo or Sanchez).

basing it on this season and the previous pre-libertadores match, Pumas did somewhat neutralize thier attack.

Carmona's explusion will play to Pumas' advantage. If Pumas realy exploits that void, I expect Cardozo to get nothing but long balls rather than half goal passes.

Cruz Azul vs Tigres: Cruz Azul

This is where I see Nery Pumpido's lack of experience in liguilla hurt the club. In a regular season format, he did marvelous.. but the liguilla is different.

    Atlante vs Santos : Santos

A Lavolpista vs a pseudo Lapuentista. I got to go with the psuedo. Any coach that complains to the other opposing coach that they have to play a certain way so that they can win does not convince me.

    Necaxa vs Pachuca : Pachuca

I dont know, one defends from the 18 yard marker to thier goalpost and the other defends from the 35 yard marker onto thier own goalpost. I see a Sgt Bilko type boxing match.

What, by lulling its opponents to sleep?

Seriously, you couldn't pay me or my brother to watch a Necaxa game.

It's cool they actually have more than 500 people at their games now, but how many more 0-0 or 1-0 games can they take?

that's the question I asked a month ago. Arias is an evil to Mexican futbol.

thank God we have Hugo, Herrera, Pumpido and others who are the opposite of Arias or else Mexican futbol would be a snore.

    I am not superstitious.

Necaxa will somehow find a way to get past Pachuca and into the next round.

I AM THE NEW KING OF THE MEXICAN FORUM!

lond2345 has gotten ALL OF THE PREDICTIONS CORRECT beating out

impaled, varyous styles, rdl, thrash boy, futbol de primera

    HAIL THE KING!

ps. FRACASO! Hugo should go on tv and apologize to everyone for that pathetic display. I cannot remember not 1 clear chance Pumas had all game! I can't believe he had his team let toluca put them against the ropes for most of the first half and then guess what happens (toluca scores)

you can't allow a team like toluca to just have the ball and let them attack you like that, they are too dangerous.
