Tavares, Paim, Cicero, Andre Marques, Coentrao, Helio Roque
to name a few are all plying in the second division.

Why are these kids not being loaned out to supaliga teams?
it seems because of Yannick Djalo success last term all the good
young players are heading to the honra and trying to get first team
    experience.

Supaliga clubs are not giving young players a chance, sporting is the only team really pushing youth as we all know but why are teams below the big 3 not giving the youth a chance.

Is it better for them to be in the second division or the top flight??

It is better for them to get playing time of any sort, be that in the Honra or in the Superliga. Sometimes these players get loaned out to SL teams, and then rot away on the bench the entire time, which isn't going to help them at all. Higher competition helps, but just getting the confidence and experience out of consistent playing time will do the most good.

Mostly the way Sporting loans young players to second division is proximity. There they can monitor their progression, and instill a program the player, and coaches need to follow. I can't see say a Pacos Ferreira take a kid, and have to follow someones program.

As far a being in the SL, it doesn't really matter, they need to compete, and play often. So I totally agree the way Sporting loans out players as a perfect model.

    Damn.

I thought the Cicero that went to Russia was talented. Now he is just rotting over there, zero chance to get to the Seleccao.

Yep. Cicero is wasting his precious talent. I Just love how we have so much depth in our team.

Not to mention that in the Honra div there's less chances of the loaned out players being in a match vs Sporting.
