This is one of 40 youth teams taking part in the annual "Coppa Carnevale" World Youth Tournament. It's for players 16-20 years of age.
that's highly possible. the nordic cup (U-20 tourney) allows for 2 (i think the number is 2) overage players, but there's a "limit" to how much older they can be etc. not sure about this tourney. elaine
As this is normally a men's football tournament I guess those are only the rules for the men's teams taking part in this tournament. There are at least 5 or 6 players , as I know, who are older than 20. So they probably included a normal friendly between Italy and England in the tournament.
Rachel Yankey is over 20 for sure because she played for the Dynamites de Laval in the W-League three seasons ago.
England to Play World Champions on Saturday May 17th. England have not played the USA in 12 years, their last game coming in 1991. It will be the first time the two sides have met since The Football Association took over the running of the England women's side in 1993. The city and venue for the game is yet to be confirmed, but the match is likely to be televised live in the USA. http://www.thefa.com/application?or...ontentId=39389&contentType=1&subContentType=1
