We'll never catch Southampton/Leicester/Chelsea/Spurs with only 30 games left in which to close the yawning gap. /S Hard on the heels of Ancelotti's glorious 5-game trophy comes Mourinho's epic 9-game trophy. They'll need to build new cabinets to hold all the silverware.
This was classic Mourinho-- punish a mistake and invite the other team to attack. Hit it on the break again, if possible, but most most of all defend deep and deny chances and space. Even if this was not a crazy season (which it is), we should always about any Mourinho team but even more so given the attacking quality which he now possesses.
Dortmund’s Moukoko turned 16 on Friday and made his debut yesterday. Youngest player in Bundesliga history. https://www.espn.com/soccer/borussia...agues-youngest Could become the youngest player in Champions League history in the next week or two.
It's been a great adjustment... why have him shooting from all angles and distances 5 times a match when he can do this? Mourinho is really putting something together here. If these injuries ******** up LFC, Spurs might really make a run at this thing. Been impressed with them. I like a lot of their recent signings as well, done well in the market recently.
Could really be a terror on the counter against anyone in the world. The match against LFC is going to be a fascinating one.
Is it? 9 goals allowed in 9 games, 2nd in opponent xG + xA, 2nd in opponent goal creating actions per 90... I mean I haven't seen every match, but I'm not noticing them look particularly dodgy at the back. They just gave up a lot of possession to City, but many of the teams that beat them do.
just taking a quick look at the current CL tables. apart from us and Bayern, nobody has a 5 point lead in their group.
Gonna be an interesting season. Looks like it'll be one of the closest title races we've seen in a long time but a lot can change.
Southampton with an epic choke. Up 2-0 on manu and then they let cavani beat them with 2 headers and an assist.
Can't understand why they seemingly dropped off and tried to squat on the 2 goal lead for the 2nd half. Their attacking plan was working, why play scared?
Small team mentality, unfortunately. This is not the first time which Southampton has let a good lead go to waste.
Good result for us. Leceister can jump us tomorrow with a win at home to Fulham. Still crazy tight at the top.
