Everton was collectively encouraged by Pickford’s escape. Now even Ancelotti, reportedly a clam, clever( in a patrician way) chap, is feeling aggrieved at being held to account.

That's why the hysterical " ... the game is gone ..." maxims from the likes of Redknapp and Dyer (on TV here) sound so hollow. He was out to get Walker-Peters by fouling him.

Think of it as being like a Viking horse race where there are piles of prizes at different distances from the start. Each jockey chooses which pile to go for based upon the characteristics of his horse.

Everton - Proud winner of the Premier League First Five Games Trophy.

Or as it's affectionately known Ol' Little Earlobes.

Does anyone else have issues with the Peacock app not working well on their TV? None of the other apps has any issues, but Peacock is not updating and it won't do anything when it opens up. If this was a LFC match day I'd be having a meltdown.

What are you running the app on?

I've been using the Roku app and it's far from perfect (feel like the commentary is just a split-second ahead of the video) but generally works well.

A Sony Bravia TV. I uninstalled it and then installed it again and that worked.

I think I'm the only one with Xfinity. I say Peacock it the remote and it pops onto the screen in about 10 seconds.

Stupid Samsung using Linix. :( Same happened to me, but at least I had an older AppleTV to use.

Just wish I could stream all the games on Peacock rather than having to go back and forth to NBCSN/NBC for each game, but I guess NBCSN needs ratings too.

Everton defender Lucas Digne has had his three-match ban for a red card against Southampton on Sunday reduced to one game.

Josep María Bartomeu has announced his last act as president of Barcelona — the club’s participation in a new European Super League.

Bartomeu revealed that Barça had signed up to the proposal during a 35 minute speech to confirm his resignation on Tuesday night. That involvement is subject to ratification and approval at a members’ assembly on Wednesday. The Catalan club have also agreed to a new format in the Fifa-led Club World Cup.

So essentially...if you wear a blue shirt or you are from the city of Manchester - as long as you raise your hands up and say "I didn't mean to do that"...you can get away with just about anything in the Premier League...:confused:

    What VAR would have said:

"Azpi was 0.000001 mm offside and as a result, we reviewed the offside, so it was offside but the linesman did not raise flag, so we went to the on-field referee, he did not ask to check the chokehold wwe move so we left it so we decided that offside is the only call here, but the game is going on, so we did not do anything, but we did something, taps each other on their shoulders job done.

Not a chance - he was reckless, took multiple swipes at Walker-Peters and missed, then chased after him, threw his hands up in the air to absolve himself before proceeding to stamp on his achilles. Even if it was rescinded - Digne should have received a second yellow - and thus a red in any case - so the 1 game ban works in my eyes.

Bloody hell, some carnage in Europe last last night. Chelsea ran up a huge score in Russia while Lepizig (top of the Bundesliga ?) got hammered at Old Trafford. Absolutely tonked out of Manchester. Guess that would knock off a few million quid of Upamecano's fee, eh?
