you guys were smart to sell Rooney

    but dont think you should have spent money on Beattie
    he doesnt seem to be Everton type of player
    should have brought robbie keane or andrew johnson

    I don't think Beattie has played for us enough to judge whether or not he's an Everton type player. From what I've seen, I have to agree with you but Davey knows best and I'm guessing he saw something we don't. I'm hoping he comes around next season and turns things around. He seems to have too much of a "superstar" mentality for me, though.

    Selling Rooney was, however, a smart move. Who needs him?? Not us.

    I agree with you that Beattie probably wasn't the best choice, but now that it's been made, we need to hope he can stay healthy and start scoring for us.

    Back when we were looking for forwards, I would have preferred us signing a physical forward like Yakubu to eventually replace Duncan Ferguson.

    Andy Johnson would be a great signing too, but he really seems committed to Crystal Palace. However, if Palace get relegated, perhaps Johnson will be interested in coming to a club like Everton so that he can stay in the EPL and improve his chances for playing for England.
