The A-League...where fans can come out on to the field after a pre-season game and visit with the players...and the players are willing to sign autographs, thank supporters...and pose for pictures. Here's photographic evidence! http://www.geocities.com/sounderfan/Bremerton.html
If you come out onto the field after a game at Swangard (Vancouvers Stadium) the best you can expect is a couple of goon security guards jumping on your back and hauling you away!
If you go out on the field after a Riverhounds match, you'll probably twist an ankle or blow out a knee. A broken collarbone isn't out of the question, if you fall off the field near the touchline on the pressbox side.
If your run out onto the field in Richmond and Virginia...oh wait you don't. There are more players on the field than fans in those two cities!
You guys sure took this thread a different way. Different...but funny! Actually I was being a bit sincere. I really enjoyed being able to go see the guys after the game. I'm sure it won't happen at Seahawks Stadium, so I'm glad we got the chance in Bremerton (1 hr boat ride from Seattle).
It's just good fun. I know the Whitecaps players take time to sign autographs, I don't know where but I know they do it. Just not on the pitch though. Stepping on Swangards pitch is strictly verboten!
Actually, you were right about Richmond. And it turns out I was wrong about Canada, too. http://ucsub.colorado.edu/~kaminssl/TheOnion/perkycanada.html
Oops! Sorry I don't know a rats ass about Virginia Beach. Except the Waltons live near there and they name their kids John Boy.
