How many times was it said in this forum this year that he’s still world class and it was a disaster to let him go?
James has the Ferrari talent with a Renault mentality. If that guy would have great attitude and work ethic we'd be giving toasts to his achievements.
James was good when he played at Everton but he looks way too comfortable now being a social media star Still better than Hazard thou lol
Dude showed up to the biggest club in the world and absolutely balled out in his first season. Just doesn’t have the mentality or discipline/consistency to keep up that kind of work.
Same as everywhere really, started well, then the private flights, arriving late for training and being lazy started. Waste of talent. The guy could have been hands down one of the best players in the sport with a little bit more effort.
I never rated James as highly as some of the people here but I thought he was very good for Everton when he played, guess Rafa has an issue with his attitude?
Rafa never really liked him James was everton’s best player last season despite his bad habits Dumb for Rafa to kick him out really, but Rafa likes runners more than talented players
You can't have somebody on large wages that only turns up when he feels like it. Everton failed last season, so the decision is as economically motivated as it is about James.
He was free and was on the same wages as their rest of the squad, they have a really bad wage structure His injuries are his main issue
Other players are on the shopping window as well, he's the only one making it such a huge deal to be honest. They paid a lot of money for those players and they failed to reach the goal they had set for themselves (CL). There was a paper from the Everton CEO that said those wages are in order to get into the CL. The project failed pretty much. I posted this at the end of the season: At some point everybody stopped caring, and the entire team collapsed. Aiming for the CL and finishing out of Europe is ridiculous.
It is what it is now, the market has been hyper inflated ever since PSG spent 220m on Neymar, a fee that is over two times Grealish's fee and 5 years ago.
Nah that was just PSG unlocking the buyout clause. Grealish is literally English tax. Look at Maguire's fee last summer and the rumoured Maddison fee.
The 100m was also Grealish's release clause, he had one embedded in his contract when he signed a new deal just over a year ago. Maguire's deal was stupid, Grealish was only 20m more, and is significantly better than Maguire.
Spain and Japan advance to the semi finals in the Olympics (Asensio, Ceballos, Vallejo, Kubo). It’s going to be difficult for these players to return to club. No vacation. The likes of Pedri and Olmo, who went to both the Euro and Olympics, are going to be so burnt out
No problem , i'm sure we'll do just fine without them until whenever they can, and if we don't, i don't imagine having them would have made a difference
