I understand but we just can’t let the cules forget that utter humiliation.

I mean 8-2 in a European cup quarter final...... wow. It’s like a score from the 60s. Eintracht Frankfurt did better than them. Jeezzz.

Thank you. I hate Madrid because they are so much better than everyone else. I am never at ease until Madrid is out no matter how bad they looked. I am glad we were able to take this "Madrid down time" and win our 6th title, once Madrid figures out themselves, they probably will be winning another 3.

@Eddie, you're a pussy. Never seen anyone cave before. Someone then please change the Hazard thread and the Valverde one (the latter of which was created by a disturbed and obviously very sick individual).

You hate our club, we hate yours and Thomas Muller's face; alas that’s how good rivalries work, and you’re among our biggest rivals. Will be interesting to see if you can repeat next year — definitely not outside the realm of possibility. I wish Bayern no injuries but otherwise the worst of luck and I hope you lose every game. :D

(But again I know I speak for others when I say I read your insights here with some interest and long may the banter continue)

    :ROFLMAO:
Hazard title is so awful that it’s actually art or comedy and I won’t be persuaded otherwise.

I mean I chuckle every single time I read “Oh Madrid!”:ROFLMAO:

I am ready for @YOUNGSTARS87 insults in reply and will take them in stride as I don’t even have good or shit thread titles myself.

I hope we don't get obsessed with Mbappé and ignore other options. Similar to how we spent £100m on Hazard where, even without the hindsight of him being shit, when there was Sancho available or could have even tempted Sterling or Mane. The guy is obviously talented but still has a lot to prove and I personally would just wait until he's out of contract and offer him a reasonable salary. If he doesn't want to take it then screw him.

Furthermore, Haaland looks for more exciting. The dream would be both though.

Re Mbappe discussion I think several things are true at the same time (borrowing from some of y’all’s points):

1–he is still my odds on favorite to be the best player of his generation.

2–the best player of his generation (and perhaps the next 5 generations!) is unlikely to be anywhere near Cristiano/Messi level or even prime R9 for that matter.

3–he hasn’t shown the type of growth you’d ideally like to see since his move and there’s reason to think being at PSG is stunting his growth (but he has plenty of time)

4–i still can’t wrap my head around 200m+ transfer fees. and not just on the question of “is a player good enough” but also again these guys are flesh and blood like the rest of us and wrong step or one bad tackle or one drunk driver and a guy’s career can be over.

I refuse to believe Man City or PSG have ever “crunched numbers” in any meaningful sense.

Since the other thread got locked, question for those who think Neymar carried Barcelona to 2015 treble and CL, so how come he never won another CL after that? Did he decide not to carry PSG or something else was missing?

I don't think Neymar carried them but he was way more important than people gave him credit for
Messi has not even made a final since Neymar left. The MS part of MSN has not won it since then. While Neymar made the final in his first season fit

You know that this year is the first time at PSG he has had a chance to show if he could do it or not right ?

Having said that, Neymar didn't carry Barca to the CL title.
