Former Man United great Dwight Yorke is going to return to international duty for TnT. He had not played in a while, but now thinks they have a good chance at qualifying. http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news;_y...slug=ap-wcup-trinidad-yorke&prov=ap&type=lgns
He's one of a handful of players to score 100 goals in the Premier League. That's gotta count for something. But I agree, no worries.
Yorke would only play when/if T & T go down or it's tied very late, and Bruce decides to bunker to preserve the point.
Completely off-thread question, but does anyone know of a way to get the audio for tomorrow's match streaming live over the Internet? I'll be stuck in the office and would rather listen than check the matchtracker . . . Thanks.
small question, but wouldn't the match tracker get you in less trouble than to have a streaming audio of the game coming from your PC? Have you tried socceaudio.com? they seem to be good at keeping us up to date on streams.
He aint washed up - he is playing in midfield as a playmaker and he reads the game as well as his old schoolmate Brian Lara still hits the ball (as in cricket) - very well indeed.
Agreed. In a qualifying match away from home, one sweet touch by Yorke, who has proven his quality over the years, can be the difference between 0, 1, or 3 points very suddenly. Remember, we tend to have very close games in these situations. This news raised my eyebrow a bit and I would guess it did at least that much for the Bruce.
One sweet touch by Cornell Glen can do the same thing. The history of 33 year old forwards at the international level is not spectacular. I'm not saying Yorke isn't any good, but if he didn't play, the guys who'd take his place can play a little too. The effect of this is likely going to be marginal, in my opinion. Probably a net positive, but not a huge one.
there is a thread somewhere around here saying they found a pay site for it BUT... they do have a $3.95 7 day trial available not a bad option... provided we don't give them too much to handle
