Development is not always linear. Pulisic is the best American player ever and he’s doing that right now. If Reyna wants to be the best, he needs to become better than the current best. He very well could, but I wouldn’t say it’s a certainty, so I think to not include Pulisic in this discussion is a little disrespectful to him.

Getting word Seattle Sounders preparing to trade homegrown attacker Handwalla Bwana, 21, to Nashville, which will extend his contract. Awaiting details. U.S. citizen since Aug, in mix for U23/Olympic squad. 3rd-year pro: 32 league matches, 14 starts, 4 goals, 3 assists. #mls— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) October 18, 2020
sure, but add the sounders to the list along side the timbers of teams of little interest rn for this forum
Eryk Williamson and Jeremy Ebobisee are solid thread-eligible players. Seems like a puzzling assertion to me.
Ebobisse, Williams and Farfan have combined for 2500 minutes on a good team. Portland was a YNT problem. Not this season.
Ebobissie had to win the job 4 times! Both he and Williamson are only thread eligible for another year because of Covid too right?
The problem is their academy and they haven’t produced any players that way. They need to start doing better with that.
Giving players who both turn 23 this year minutes and saying this is good for the YNT’s is ridiculous. Ebobisse and Williamson are not young players and Portland should not get any credit for playing them, if you can’t get pro minutes at 23 as a field player then you need to find a new career
Aidan Morris is short, so his future isn't going to be determined by whether he defends set pieces. It'll be judged by winning battles in open play, which he did again tonight. Also based on his passing, which is still a work in progress. Dike had a solid game, drawing a penalty. Also provided good hold-up. You know you're always going to get that, a target, work rate, & occasionally cheeky distribution. Clark's performances are being adversely impacted by his usage as a wing instead of 10, & it's compounded by using a wing (Valot) there. I don't get it. All 3 goals in DC-Cincy were scored by Mercs & Paredes' shot forced a rebound for the winner. You like to see that quotient hugely improved & Paredes contributing.
Terrible GK'ing on all three goals as @thedukeofsoccer mentioned. MLS GK's aren't that good. It's no wonder that Marcinkowski steps in and is immediately better than the guy who had been starting for two seasons. I'm not saying there's a young American keeper on DC or Cincy that should be playing instead, but we need to see these young American keepers get more of a chance to play. The level of GK in MLS isn't that high. Our young keepers are good enough to be playing. As to the game, I only saw the first 65 minutes. Thought Nyeman did extremely well. It might've been his best game so far, it was certainly one of his better games. He played the pass to Paredes that forced the shot assist. DC United is out of midfielders. They were playing Nyeman in a double pivot with Yamil Asad. When you lose to the worst team in MLS that is using a career winger and a 16 year old #10 as their starting #6's, you are doing something wrong. Cincinnati has been a disappointment of an MLS franchise so far.
Man, that NY-ORL game was a chore to watch. So many misplaced passes, there couldn’t have been more than a few sequences of at least 4 passes.
If he is going to play he will have to be able to adequately defend set pieces. It’s not a major thing that tonight he lost his man but it happened. He looked pretty good tonight otherwise.

16 yr old Christian Torres equalizes in stoppage time on the road against the MLS is Back Champions! Great time for his first one in the league. Cool finish. Aside from that, he was already good off the bench again for LAFC. A couple quick recognition key passes for a team who was struggling to create thru the game. 1318041911618342912 is not a valid tweet id
