Atlanta United 2 Signs Forward Rodrigo Neri

 

I hate to rip on the kid because it's not his fault, but Neri has been a total hype machine player. He was "okay" like 2-3 years ago, and somehow his hype only grew while he stagnated!

He wasn't even on the "A" team for his age group at Atleti when he was there. They have multiple teams per age group. He was on the "B" team. Didn't make the Youth League roster. That told us all we needed to know. They didn't rate him very high.

Good luck to him though. Don't want to condemn his career. He has a chance to have a solid pro career.

A wrong thread, of course, but do you know how Zambrano is doing? Does he have a chance to get out of Portugal's lower league he is in?

 

He struggled at Benfica. Transferred to a lower level first division club’s academy. I wouldn’t give up on him, but I’d be starting to sell most of my Zambrano stock.
