It's obviously early to start a thread for a fall season, but there's news that seems best handled in this context. What I don't know, I guess, is whether we should keep this to 2005s and younger, or will there still be a U21 program (for 2004s and the like) once the Olympic program kicks off later this year? If there's been clarification on that point, I haven't seen it. As for the news: It looks like the NCAA wants to move to a split season starting in 2027: The Division I Men's Soccer Oversight Committee adopted legislation changing the sport's playing and practice season to two semesters, effective Aug. 1, 2027. The committee's action is subject to review by the Division I Cabinet during its June 23-24 meeting. Under the legislation, the Division I men's soccer championship segment is redistributed across two semesters, maintaining the current maximum contest limit of 25. Division I men's soccer teams could play a maximum of 18 contests during the fall segment, starting in late August and going until the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The spring segment would begin in mid-February, with teams playing a maximum of 10 contests before the Division I Men's Soccer Championship. https://www.ncaa.org/news/2026/5/13...mester-playing-season-for-di-mens-soccer.aspx
