So we're a bit late with this thread....

Nonetheless the draw from the Europa League was made yesterday:

Europa League 2nd qualifying round: (July 17 & July 24)

Zorya Luhansk - play the winner of Rudar Velenje (SLO) - Laçi (ALB)

This will not be easy for Zorya by any stretch of the imagination.

That doesn't sound very easy at all. How many rounds are there 5? Are they tipped to keep Xomchenovsky & Boly or set to lose their best players and foreign guys?

When does Dnipro find out its opponent?

There are 4 qualifying rounds for the Europa League before the groups stage. Zorya enters the second round, Chudo enters round three, Metalist enters the playoff round (round 4), Dynamo goes straight into the group stage.

There has been no news on Zorya losing or signing anyone (at least from the website). There was an article that they would be playing the European games in Kyiv.

Draw date for 3rd qualifying round when Dnipro enters the competition is July 18. However, Dnipro is under tribunal because of a case with Boatang for and they could be omitted from the competition.

Dnipro cleared to play, thank god. Who knows, knowing our luck if we qualify we won't even be allowed to play in Dnipro

I doubt Zorya will even play even UPL games in Lugansk. Zorya lost Danilo and prolly will lose Boli too, maybe even Xomchenovsky, they are fcked. Chudo lost Antonov to Kazakhstan lol wtf..

fck Russia so hard, they deserve to live in a post-nuclear ash, their brains are already contaminated full of retarded radiation.

A lot of players have YKPAIHA due to the uncertainty and stability issues.

Zorya to probably to play in Kyiv.

FFU says the calendar should come out closer to the start of the competition (it starts July 26, I believe)

Awesome for the people of Lviv. Putting that white elephant stadium in the middle of nowhere to use again, that's great to see.

What will happen if fans wave Bandera flags again there? Will UEFA punish Lviv and Shakhtar both? How would that work?

Season is already lost. Chernomorets had a huge exodus. Dnipro is set to lose some key players. Metalist is in ashes. Shakhtar to play in Lviv. Dynamo has to win league, right?

I guess postponement (domestic) would be finical ruin for some of the clubs?

Meanwhile, Zorya did beat their Albanian opponents, Laci, 3-0, on the road.

Wouldn't say Metalist is in ashes unless they've lost more players over the summer that I didn't know about. They were still playing fantastic stuff at the end of the season. Did Chudo keep their coach?

Unbelievable that Dnipro about to lose Rotan. Capt. of Dnipro, the most patriotic club last spring, and Ukraine, set to leave for Russia. Bad fever dream.

Shocked that Zorya hasn't lost Boli or Khomchenovsky yet....they have a reasonable path to Europe. Dnipro got a decent draw with Coppenhagen.

Zorya is basically finishing the job tomorrow. They are going to play at Obolon Stadium in Kyiv. Assuming they get through they will most likely play Molde(NOR) since they won the first game 4-1.
Chornomorets will know their opponent tomorrow. It's going to be either RNK Split(CRO) or Hapoel Be'er Sheva(ISR).

Dnipro play F.C. København next week at home for their UCL qualifier.

If home means Kyiv, yea I guess.

I wish we were allowed to just played Zenit so we could pummel some flimsy and small/slow Russians up!

Zorya picks up some more coefficient points with a 2nd win over their Albanian opponents and move into 178th place in the team rankings.

Molde (NOR) ranked #141 is next.

Chudo (#97) on the other hand face RNK Split (CRO) ranked #234.

Opening round this weekend in the UPL. MetaDon host Dnipro in Lviv tomorrow night!

Ukraine will need every coefficient point, because top clubs have lost a significant fraction of their better players and will find advancing and gaining coefficient points more difficult.

Shakhtar & Metalist uefa ranking is high enough to where maybe they will get a lucky draw and be able to grind out results.

Dnipro could be up 2-0 at half, as usual our final product letting us down.

English ref not giving Kono foul calls, 2 Coppenhagen players should've seen yellow, instead Matteus got one for a soft foul. UEFA wants Ukrainian teams eliminated.

    Goalless draw is the result...

An away goal should do the trick!
