Many people would say to keep politics out of music, and to a degree I would say yes. But like John Lennon said when he was being ridiculed for his bed-ins and rather naive calls for peace, (and I'm paraphrasing here), "the press are going to write about us anyway, so we'll take that space that would normally be used to talk about what kind of clothes Yoko wears and we'll force them to talk about peace and other world events".

Anytime Oasis are promoting a new album or tour they come out with these cooler than thou statements that really make them look desperate. Pitiful. Massive Attack and Blur are intelligent, incredible bands. Oasis are just the English equivalent of frat boys.
