Faider Fabio Burbano is currently on the Colombia U-20 team. He played against the US a few months back.
I have no info but Seattle and Dallas seem have the most Colombians and an inside track. That said Chivas just hired a retread Colombian coach so that is also a likely option.
Philly has just hired Diego Gutierrez as head scout and he has connections in Colombia (and he was also an agent for Wilman Conde). Add in the rumors that we are brining in Mondragon (Colombian goalkeeper) and Valdez (Colombian defender) then it isn't out of the realm of possibility that Philly is looking at one of them. Though I really think pretty much every team is looking down there now.
Columbus had supposedly closed in on a couple of South American players not too long ago. Maybe that's where they're headed?
Respuesta: Re: Yessi Mena & Fabio Burbano of Envigado to MLS They were supposed to be included in the Draft Combine alongside Rooney's brother and other internationals but they're not on the MLSsoccer.com official list altough a BS poster put a link in one of the Combine threads that has Burbano in it. Conclusion: ..... who knows?
Mena never went to Chicago (despite what the article said). He just went to DC and got sent home after about a week.
